This is a very nice quiet and comfortable hotel. My room was clean and very pleasant. The public areas and bar are fine too. So why not a higher rating? The answer is down to management. Here's two reasons why., First, on both the nights I stayed, a large coach party checked in (on the first night at the same...

slightly tired HI, poor location nearly 3 miles from shops/restaurants, in a residential area. Useless without a car, hotel itself is clean and competent, good value though. Irritatingly pay movies not working and i had a broken tissue dispenser in bathroom, small issues but typical of an ageing hotel. Sit on a hill overlooking castle, long way away.

My fiance and I had a short stay trip in Edinburgh, Scotland. We went there to visit Edinburgh Castle and the Holyrood Palace. We checked-in at Holiday Inn Edinburgh City- West because it's close to the town proper (old and new) and to Waverley train station. The hotel room was lacking in robe.. it only provided 1. The heater they...

We booked an overnight stay in this hotel for just before Christmas. The price, including the add-on for breakfast, was very reasonable. The car park seemed small, until we discovered the second part on the downhill section of the site. The desk staff were helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, and was warm despite the cold, wet,...

This place is tired and out of the way. I was greeted at reception in a less than professional way, the lift was one of those you wonder if you will ever get out of once you're in, the room basic and duvet and pillows cheap and the food very ordinary (normally not a problem but the weather was dreadful...

I actually stayed here in september 2015, as part of a large group. The hotel was awesome, in an easy location in terms of some stores or the bus stop. If i ever come back to the city i would stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with ample space. The beds were the best beds i slept...

We had a family room with 2 queen size beds, not large but comfortable enough. Room looks a liitle dated. Overall service was more than satisfactory and the restaurant offers a nice choice of food in a nice casual atmosphere, where kids eat for free. Breakfast was always fresh and abundant. Parking is easy and the hotel is located next to...

I initially found this hotel a little hard to find after a full day out and driving in late at night. However once inside I found it very clean, and modern. The staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. My room was more than I thought it qould be also. Holiday Inn back home isn't associated with...

We stayed for just one night on a Dinner B & B basis which was good value for money. Very friendly and helpful reception staff on arrival. Dinner whilst a limited choice was more than adequate and was very good. The breakfast buffet had a good range of food and beverages, as is the norm with Holiday Inns Both the...
