Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
For only a little more than the price of a budget chain hotel we got far more room in an excellent location (especially if you’re an Ian Rankin fan - it’s literally next door to the Oxford Bar). The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable enough with being luxurious. If the decor was rather drab the extra space made up for it.
Just one negative point, if we hadn’t met another group going in after the outside door had been locked we might have struggled. The email with the door code didn’t arrived until after our 3 night stay was over and I was back home again.

My girlfriend and I lived here for four and a half months, we are both students at the University of Edinburgh. This place is really nice, clean, and convenient, and everybody in the apartment service team is very nice! They helped us solve problems really fast and replied to emails really timely. Long stay in this place will receive a great discount and all bills are included. Also, the reception team will help you accept packages and send them to your room. It's great and warm to have such a good experience when we are studying abroad. The location of the apartment is also a big advantage, you can go anywhere in the city by bus which is only 5 mins walk to the bus station. It's absolutely a highly recommended place to live no matter short stay or long stay, I am sure you will have a very nice experience.

We stayed at an aparthotel for our stay here. Stewart aparthotel was pleasant and comfortable. We booked this as it said they have a washing/dryer machine. Washing machine works fabulously dryer not at all but they had a clothes horse in the room and our washing dried fine. The accomodation isn't 5 star but it was definitely clean and comfortable. The heated towel racks were a lovely touch and it was beautifully heated. The kitchen was fully equipped with a microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher and washing machine.
There is a very small carport in the basement accessible by a car lift although not sure how that works.
The hotel is located in New Town and is about 3 blocks back from Princess Street but very easily walked. We walked to all parts of the city without issue I think it took about 15 minutes up to Royal Mile.
We had a very comfortable stay, the staff are very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately if I could give this 0 stars I would - which is a shame because this hotel has potential, it’s just clearly very badly run and not looked after. Issues we had: Room was damaged, had splatter marks from some kind of liquid up the wall, hair on our pillow and in our bedding, room had not been hoovered, and the shower was blocked and almost overflowed until I noticed. Which meant we couldn’t wash. Also hair in the sink as well. There was also an external flood light that shone into our room all night. Also no toilet roll when we first arrived. We were told they have parking available, only to then be told after booking that our small SUV is not allowed in the car park due to size. When we had to then eventually park away from the hotel, I checked out the car park and there were large vehicles parked. When we got into the room I called room service to clean the room, only for them to pass the blame saying the room service doesn’t have ‘red hair’ so it wasn’t them. They gave us toilet roll and took the hair from the pillow. Later that night is when we found more hair in the bed. When I contacted the hotel to complain, they said they offered us a refund when we checked in, which never happened! Otherwise we would have done that and stayed somewhere else. I’m really not one to leave reviews, but this has to be done!

we stayed here for a few nights for our anniversary. Excellent communication when booking and we received a free upgrade and a wee bottle of wine and a big box of shortbread with a card wishing us happy anniversary, which i thought was a lovely ersonal touch. We were in Room 20! The room is a great size, the bathroom is massive and had a bath and a great shower with shampoo, soap/bodywash available. The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you need including a dishwasher. Tea coffee sugar and milk sachets are all available. The bedroom is also huge and has a large tv with netflix (if you have an account) iron, iron board and hairdryer in bedroom aswell as a safe.
The location is perfect and is a 2 minute walk to George street. The only downside i would say is that our room looked onto the lane at the back of the hotel and it was very very noisy. We had our windows open as we couldnt get the air con to work. Also the underground car park is chargable and accessed through a car lift which is very very tight. we stayed to nights and paid £32. I wasnt aware that this had to be booked online through another company so we aware of this when you book. Would definitely stay here again but would get the train !

Overall this was not a bad apartment. But the cleanliness of the apartment was average . We were told one of the cleaners was off. The fridge was not working correctly as the door could not close and similar to other reviews the sensor light in the bathroom was very annoying. The positives were the location was fantastic, good communication from the landlord & the kitchen was well equipped. I was under the impression the parking was included so read the small print this is at a cost of available. There is a plan of the room showing a second bedroom but the print explains that’s there is a pull out sofa which I felt was misleading. Saying this both bed and sofa was very comfortable. 7/10

I’ve just spent two nights here and couldn’t recommend it more.
It’s about a 15 min walk from Waverley Station, but has bars, coffee shops and restaurants on the doorstep despite being on a quiet side street.
The apartment itself is huge, and very well equipped. There are sockets everywhere including USB sockets by the bed and the Wi-Fi is fast.
The kitchen had everything I needed and I regret not planning to cook!
The bed is comfy and I slept very well, and the shower was fab albeit slightly low water pressure.
For the price I would rate this hotel as exceptionally good value for money.
