Very comfortable hostel. Good facilities, nice staff, great atmosphere and perfect location. Not too big hostel so is quite familiar. I had a enjoyable time there and I would recommend it for a stay in Edinburgh!

The hostel is very basic fairly clean with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is great - just 3 mins walk from proncess street and 5 mins to the train station. I stayed in a 4 bed female only room which was very small but it didnt really matter that much as most of the time we were out...

Edinburgh merkezde kalacaklara tavsiye edilir, konumu harika. The staff were very helpful. The location is perfect. It is very near to train tram bus stations and shopping center and main stores besides festival events. The price is high. I stayed in a four bed two bunk bed room which is quite narrow. There is a free coffee and tea. Breakfast...

I was in the Haggis Hostels for eleven nights so I can write that this hostel is amazing. It's cheap, clean and directly in the city center. The Showers, toilets, rooms and kitchen were always clean. There are enough separated showers so you can lock inside and you have one small room for your things and your own shower so...

Very clean, very quiet, PERFECT location. Really couldn't have asked for anything else. Staff was very friendly and helpful - even carried my luggage down when I had to check out at 5:30 am! If I am fortunate to visit Edinburgh in the future, I will most definitely be staying at Haggis again

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
