Just finished our stay here. Lovely room, spacious and warm. Also very clean. Very well located right in the middle of everything and not far from the train station! Staff were lovely. Definitely recommend :)

A lovely centrally located hotel. Staff were very friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble. The resturant provided a fairly extensive selection of dishes cooked well and served by a friendly waitress.

Hotel cannot be faulted on the room and customer service , but the food is definitely below standard. I have stayed here for a few days and started to feel very rough. I am now avoiding the english breakfast as it is very greasy and is often lukewarm. Also the chips with many meals also come undercooked and the burgers... More

Recently stayed here with family for a weekend in Edinburgh. Premier Inn's are my favourite hotels to stay in and I always look for one every where I go. The beds are the most comfortable you will find and the staff are always extremely helpful and kind. This hotels location is excellent, on the middle of a fantastic shopping street... More

Stayed here for a trip to the Christmas markets was an excellent location and as with all premier inns clean and tidy. You know what to expect and are not disappointed. Breakfasts good as always - I would recommend this hotel.

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was the first time I have stayed in a premier inn. We used the online check in and where in our room within 5 minutes of arriving at the hotel. Location was excellent. Would of liked a castle view from our room but where happy with what we got. Would definitely stay again... More

The hotel is ideally-situated on Princes Street and convenient for attractions, restaurants and shops. It's very clean and well-maintained with a nice large bar/reception area. The service is excellent.

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
