Steeped in history and majesty, Princes Street is a mecca of top retail brands with pub-packed Rose Street on one side and the beautiful Princes Street Gardens along the other. Arrived after a short (5-10minute) walk from Edinburgh Wavely station. Was here for a spot of work. Very friendly lady on reception upon arrival and shortly joined by another young lady who engaged in conversation about the miserable weather. Stayed in a Premier Plus room and it was beautiful, although not Castle facing it was still a room to be desired. 5th Floor. Air con in room, complimentary water, chocolates and a nespresso machine with 4 pods. Which being a coffee person I enjoyed. Smooth checkout, and breakfast available in the restaurant attached. Continental with pastries, juices, tea/coffee and fresh breakfast items. Castle is a short distance away, Starbucks right on your doorstep if you’re fancy!

We stayed here for a 3 night stay and were pleasantly surprised with our brilliant experience. Room was just as advertised, very clean, very comfortable and at night very quiet which contributed greatly to a great night sleep each night. Staff were really nice and helpful. The location is fantastic. Directly across the park from Edinburgh Castle. Just a 3 min stroll to the tram stop. Will return again

We booked a premium room and were lucky enough to get one facing the castle, the views were fabulous (when it wasn't raining). Staff on check in were very welcoming and helpful, and the same on check out. We didn't have any other interaction other than to say hello each time we passed reception. If I was going again, I don't think I would pay for the premium room, there was very little difference to the normal Premier Inn rooms and the bed wasn't that big. We got breakfast included which was served in the bar next door, the food was good, not very greasy and plenty of selection. I did think they could do more tidying around the tea/coffee and cereal/bread areas while breakfast was ongoing, but it wasn't dirty, just a bit messy from previous guests. Overall, this is a very central location within walking distance of a lot of places and I would stay here again if we returned to Edinburgh.

Excellent as always. I would single out Paul at reception for a special mention. He couldn’t have been more helpful. I would also like to mention Peter G. In the restaurant for his first class attention too. We always stay at this hotel whenever we are in Edinburgh. Highly recommended.

Everything was great! The location was perfect, we did everything by walking. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel just has what is needed for a short stay. Definitely recommend it. (I'd only have liked to get some water in the room and possibility to do an early check-in without paying)
