I chose Joppa Turrets after seeing the reviews on here and I wasn't disappointed. I stayed here for three nights and I really wish it could have been longer. The location is fabulous, right on the Promenade with wonderful sea views. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves - so relaxing. Anne & Phil are the perfect...

Had a single room with views over the garden and the sea, which looked like a winter wonderland due to loads of snow. At night the soft splashing of the waves could be heard, which was really nice. The room and the bathroom were tidy, clean and comfortable with cosy window seats. The owners were very nice and had no...

If you want a great place to stay that is near Edinburgh but also near the water, try this great B&B. The four of us wanted easy access to Edinburgh, but wanted to avoid driving in the city. Joppa Turrets is along an easy bus line - which we used to explore the city. The service at the B&B was...

This is one of the friendliest guset houses that we have stayed in. It is clean and well kept, the owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. The food is excellent and plentiful with a wide choice. It is located on the prominade and beach it is very quiet at night and has the benefit of the...

Stayed at the Joppa Turrets for 4 nights from 20th Aug 2010, 1st class hosts and the breakfasts were brilliant (Anne I'll have the full works for breakfast). Good bus service to get into Edinburgh. Exactly what we expected after reading previous reviews. Will certainly be returning.

I have stayed here regularly this summer whilst working away. I would recommend it to anyone. Anne and Phil are lovely, the house is spotless and ideally placed overlooking the beach. There is good parking and the b&b is located just far enough out of the centre to be quiet, without being too far away. Would definitely recommend it to...

Stayed at Joppa Turrets Guest house back in June and the location was picked primarily to be near a wedding venue (normally if I'm in Edinburgh I'd pick somewhere more central) Anyway, it was lovely! I had a single room on the top floor and I just couldn't get over how peaceful the location was. The room was fresh and...

Our stay at Joppa Turrets was fantastic for many reasons. Firstly it was right next to the water on the Firth of Forth, with great views, large windows and lots of fresh air. Breakfast was a treat each morning in the large dining room with windows opening onto a view of the garden. Our hosts were excellent cooks and our...

Nothing fancy-- no showing off with fancy antiques-- just a comfy room with great hosts in a superb location. (oh-- and no elevator) I had stayed in Edinburgh Center (and loved it) but wanted a taste of life in the suburbs along the Firth of Forth. It was magical. Would have loved to stay a month-- taking the easy bus...

We had the most relaxing, welcoming stay here. Ann and Phil were totally helpful, no matter what the problem. Great breakfast, great sleep, great location. We would definitely stay here again.
