Nice residential area and nice owner. Food was very good. The house itself is a bit outdated. The rooms were nice and clean, but felt a little dark and old due to outdated style. Sharing a bathroom was not bad and the bathroom was always clean.

We showed up on a very rainy day having walked all the way from the train station to Priestville with our bags in tow. Trina was very gracious in her greeting to us. We had our granddaughter with us as well as our daughter and son -in-law. Colin greeted us and was cordial, but seemed rather put out by our...

This is an amazing place to stay. Gorgeous view from our spacious room where we slept comfortably for three nights. The property is just lovely and breakfasts were delicious with many choices. The feinting couch in our room was our daughter's favorite. We loved the chairs facing out our big bay window.

Colin was the perfect host. Funny, and warm, he greeted us and immediately oriented us towards not only his hotel but also the city; nice places to eat, bus routes, maps, and museum recommendations. Our room was lovely and clean, and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious. Colin even gave us each a sample of haggis, which we loved. We recommend...

Just returned from a lovely 5 day break at the Priestville guest house. Colin & Trina are such caring, helpful & friendly hosts. Fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day, served by Colin in his kilt which gave a very authentic feel. Great choices which even included a haggis option & also smoked salmon. Colin extremely knowledgeable about...

The four of us stayed with Colin May 2016. Wonderful breakfast. The WiFi was sporadic, had to go out into the hall to get online...it also needs some updating; but Colin went out of his way to serve us; give directions etc. Colin & his wife are what make this worth staying at!

If you want a fancy hotel then you shouldnt be reading this. This place is kind of authentic. We stayed here one night in our way through Scotland. For the price you can't complain at all! The house is really old and outdated but in a good way and really big and pretty cool actually. It has big grand high...

Great hospitality, Colin goes above and beyond for his guests. Highly recommend. Clean, tidy bedrooms, great choice of breakfast and in a very nice area. Colin was very knowledgable of the places to see in Edinburgh, advised how to commute around and highlighted some great days out!

My sister and I stayed about a week here while in Edinburgh and were really grateful to have such friendly hosts! Colin and family were very helpful and accommodating. There are several nearby bus stops, and it only took us about 15-20 minutes to get to the Princes Street area. Delicious breakfast served each morning.

Our first stay here and found the owners really welcoming and helpful. All the breakfasts were great, there was a relaxing atmosphere about the building which is lovely. It's an easy 20 minute bus ride into town on a choice of 3 buses which is a 5 minute stroll from the Guest house. On a more practical note, there is...
