Detailed Reviews
This is a very, very basic accommodation. It keeps the rain off, but it's run down, shabby, and very cheaply furnished. And trust me, I've stayed in a lot of European hostels, so I know shabby.
More importantly, the info on Expedia for Osprey is very wrong. There is no wi fi, the "full breakfast" is rice crispies, sugar smacks, and toast( the owner was very quick to tell me she "doesn't allow meat in the house"). Also be advised that it's impossible to get to the Osprey without a car or a cab. It's a good 6 miles from the train station in Bathgate( did I mention that in spite of the address, it's actually in Blackburn, not Bathgate?) and a half-hours drive from Edinburgh.
Oh, and when we arrived it was locked up. If I hadn't had a uk phone, I would have been out of luck.
In short, sad, shabby, and over priced.

Don't go there would have been better sleeping in the car .
Utterly disgusted at the place. There were no facilities for tea coffe making in the rooms the car park was a demolition site. The bathroom was shared with the rest of the house even though we complained and were given the only en suite room it had no light on the first morning, took 15 minutes to get hot water no plug for bath or sink no shower curtain or rail and if you opened the window which was a door it smelt terrible.

+1
Booked on a website to attend a party near by. Totally disgusted by the state of the room. Didn't realise how bad it was until further investigation when we arrived back from our party. Didn't sleep and left promptly in the Morning.
