I stayed for a 4 day break with a friend. The guest house is close enough to Edinburgh centre to be convenient, yet far enough away to be peaceful. Kim and Andy are wonderful hosts being friendly and helpful, taking time to give lots of advice about the best things to see an do while away. They were never too...

We had a lovely experience whilst staying at the Clarin Guest House, the lady of the house was very helpful with transport and showed us maps etc which helped us massively whilst staying in Edinburgh. She even took me to the local shop for snacks as we arrived late and didn't have time to call at a shop on the...

My friend Julia and I stayed for two nights at this lovely place. We really enjoyed our room with own bathroom and very comfy beds. The Clarin Guest House might be about 30 Minutes walking distance away from the City Centre but it was worth the way! Kim was very welcoming on arrival and even upgraded us (Thank you so...

Don't let it's distance from Old Town concern you. This is nicely out of the fray of the city center, and still very accessible to it by Edinburgh's awesome bus system, or by a 25 minute walk on a nice day. The hosts were helpful and most let us keep to ourselves, and while the walls did seem a bit...

Stayed here for a couple of nights during storm " Desmond" but having previously lived in Scotland for 24 years it did't dampen our spirits! The Clarin is a room only guest house, the room we stayed in had it's own on suite, it was beautifully decorated very clean and comfortable and very warm. It is a leisurely 30 minute...

Would recommend this hotel. It's cosy and relatively convenient located. I found the bed too soft but partner was fine. Walls are thinner than in a hotel so bear this in mind and bring ear plugs like me

4th year coming here now and great as ever. Kim and Andy are fonts of knowledge and very friendly. The beds are soooo comfy and the room is always immaculate. Drove for first time this year and its perfect. Free parking behind the B&B. Very easy to get to A1 without going anywhere near city centre. Sainsburys petrol station at...

Stayed here for three nights- Clarin Guest House is about a 20 minute walk into the city centre. Very comfortable amenities and the private parking security an added plus! The only downside being no included breakfast but our hosts were extremely helpful in recommending several options just down the road! All-in-all, great place to relax at the end of a...

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We were given a very warm welcome by Andy who gave lots of information on local places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. It is obviously more expensive the more closer to the centre of town you go. The accommodation is for room only but was spacious, bright...

This was a very nice B&B although no breakfast now. We caught the bus out from the train station at Waverley but that was the only time..we walked into town and back again on the two days we stayed..sorry it wasn't longer, but next time hope it will be. Owner was very helpful with maps and walks around the neighbourhood....
