Great B&B. Sandy and Linda were very helpful, they explained exactly which buses you could take to get into the centre of Edinburgh (~20 minute bus journey) and recommended the open top bus tours to get a real feel for the city (go for the grand tour ticket which costs about another £4 but means you can use any of...

We have just returned from our stay at the Braemar and would certainly go back. We went to Edinburgh to see Bon Jovi at Murrayfield and the Braemar proved an ideal base. Sandy and Linda were very helpful and friendly and recommended several places to eat nearby, two of which we tried and both were excellent. The guest house itself...

We are thankful to Linda and Sandy for making us feel welcome and providing us with very helpful information about places to visit and to eat out. There are...

We stayed at the Braemar house for 3 nights at the end of a 10 night visit to Scotland. It was clearly the nicest B&B that we had during our stay. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Great breakfast and our hosts Sandy and Linda very helpful and friendly. We don't have anything negative to say about the...

I have stayed all weeks for 2 nights per week in Feb 2010. The establishment is very well run, spotlessly clean and friendly. Lynda and Sandy are excellent hosts, very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone.

It would be nearly impossible to find fault with this guest house, which is a testament to it's owners, Sandy and Linda McAulay. They both exude class and professionalism and it permeates throughout their home. The double room was immaculate. The bathroom fixtures glistened and I believe they change the bedding every 15 minutes. There was a flat-screen tv and...
