Stayed here in 1st week of February for 3 nights. I wasn't sure after recent reports but in the end I was delighted with this hotel. It has got big carport and the free car park is what you need in Edinburgh. Don't bother to take the car into town, it?s easy enough to get there by bus (10mins), bus...

Read lots of mixed reviews before our stay so thought I'd just share my experience. I also found it hard to find info on transport there. We travelled to waverly station and if you go out exit to princess St and cross straight over, head right toward North bridge St and take a left down by the old st James...

The hotel team under the unflappable Craig were a key part in making our day genuinely memorable. We had the hotel for the service, wedding meal, and the evening reception. The food - for close to 60 people and narrowed to two choices for each course - was excellent, as was the later haggis neeps and tatties (for 100). The...

I read reviews which are mixed but it was recommended by a local company and i wasn't disappointed. Staff are lovely. Room was clean which is all I ask for. It has that quirkiness that all old buildings have, creaky floorboards, odd shaped rooms. I would stay again and the price was reasonable.

Second visit here in 12 months. We used the Facebook deal (2 night stay with dinner). You are treated like a friend by the staff and by the owner. They all look very happy at work, joking, laughing , made us feel like we are at home. Hotel is situated just 2 mins from the bus stop, number 7 and...

We booked a superior room in this 'hotel' on booking.com and got the room from hell, (room 5). The first thing we noticed was a musty, damp smell and then the woodwork hanging off the wall under the window. The carpet was heavily stained, the furniture scuffed and worn and there was the unusual arrangement of cables and leads from...

from Italy slept in this accommodation from 3 days in jan all the staff were very hospitable and willing. The breakfast meal was very good. The accommodation is 20 mins by foot into the central area of Edinburgh which is beautifully architecture. The autobus will take you to hotel in 10 mins from the central area. They have staff that...

Love this place, I live locally and use it for its great bar and restaurant. My family came to visit me and stayed there last week, not enough room in my house. They had a family room and one of the double rooms, great value for money, attentive staff, lovely fresh bedding and great breakfast and evening meals. Looks like...

Basicly a good hotel in need of some TLC. The staff were first class nothing was too much trouble. Staying overnight disappointing as heating not adjustable in room and shower rather tired. Breakfast was so so but the a la carte meals were very poor. As we were there for a funeral function with many other parties on that day...
