So sorry you did not feel comfortable in Portobello, the area we really love, and the reason many guests return to the area, its such a shame but I think on the particular night mentioned ,you have been sadly very unlucky, because many lost teenagers hanging around is not the normal, hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Kind Regards, Angela.

We stayed at the Abercorn for one night on our way back to Edinburgh Airport. A lovely B&B like home from home. Angela and Jimmy made us so welcome. The breakfast was by far one of the best we have had. The ambience of the B&B was fantastic welcoming, warm and friendly.

There are simply not enough stars to rate the excellence of Abercorn Guest House. 1. The ambiance is very special. Each room is lavishly decorated with the guest's comfort and care in mind. But more than that, Abercorn is a beautiful place to stay. 2. Service, food, and rooms exceeded any expectations I had of a guest house. My family...

One of the best B&B's we've stayed in. The house and rooms are beautifully decorated. Angela the owner so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and relaxed. The only bad point was the shower was weak, but with all the plus points it really didn't matter. Only 10-15 minute bus ride into the centre of Edinburgh and buses were really...

Easy to find on the Edinburgh bus system. Our hostess Angela was delightful, offering warm Scottish hospitality. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was superb. First class B&B in Edinburgh and well worth the money. 5 minute walk to the Portobello beach and enjoyed the scenery there. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it...

We had the delightful opportunity to spend a week at the Abercorn B&B after locating it on Tripadvisor.co. Our stay turned out to be one of the most positive travel experiences in Scotland that we have ever had, as proprietors Angela and Bill MacDonald welcomed us with their friendly hospitality, their beautiful, immaculate accommodations, excellent homemade breakfasts, and friendly ways....
