Stayed for 3 nights and would liked to have stayed longer! So welcoming to me and my 16 yr old son. Other hotels and B & B's advertised catering for vegetarians and gluten intolerance, but once we arrived there was no acknowledgement of being notified, and no effort to provide anything for me. Cathy went out of her way to...

What a great hotel - great vegan breakfast everyday (not easy to find!) and a great introduction to Edinburgh. Room was comfortable and welcoming, and we felt well looked after by the hosts who were happy to recommend places to visit and eat (away from obvious touristy places) Edinburgh is a wonderful city and so veggie friendly - don't miss...

Me and my girlfriend stayed one night in the guest house. The location was good, about 15-20 minute walk to the main attractions, and bus service close by. There was free street parking outside, and we had no problem finding a parking spot. We stayed in the family room, which could easily accomodate a family of four. It is however...

An excellent breakfast, peaceful nights sleep, spotlessly clean, friendly wellcome, and helpfull throughout our stay. We hope to stay again one day soon. The buses in Edinburgh are very good, there was one every ten minutes from across the road at the Guest House, an all day pass is only £3.50 and a single trip £1.50. You have to have...

We experienced a very warm welcome only surpassed by the most delicious breakfast I've ever had. Being a vegan is easy here. the decor in room one was delightfully art deco, spacious, quiet and comfy. It easy to park and easy to walk to the city centre. Now I've found this place I won't stay anywhere else on my trips...

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Claymore in February and we had such a great time! The bus stop is literally in front of the house, so it was easy to find- it is however central enough to walk to the Princes Street within 30 minutes or so. The whole house is beautifully decorated and we loved our...

My husband and I stayed for three nights at Claymore in December during our first trip to Edinburgh. We couldn't have been happier with the warm and friendly service we received. The room was spacious and clean with attention to detail, such as soya milk being available for tea and coffee-making. I also liked the fact that only the best...

Cathy is really helpful, letting us store our luggage so we could walk Edinburgh without it. Princes street is walkable from Claymore but the cheap buses go past the door or to the end of the street to all over the city. It was great to be able to have a real choice of vege food at breakfast and not...

I would highly recommend the Claymore Guest House. Excellent location with the bus stopping right outside. Lovely room. Lots of personal touches. Great breakfast with lots of choices. All freshly cooked. Very helpful owners with lots of local knowledge. Nothing was too much trouble.

This was our first trip to Scotland and we saved the best for last - Edinburgh. The city is fabulous, but our B&B, Claymore Vegetarian Guest House was absolutely perfect for us. Cathy was so accommodating and friendly, the house so splendid and beautiful and breakfasts were incredibly delicious. My only complaint was that we were not there longer! Whenever...

We are a 10-15 minute walk to Princes Street. We offer three things to our guests - enjoyable accommodation, warm and friendly atmosphere and good food and we do it with pleasure. Although our food is vegetarian and vegan, we have had many meat eating guests over the years and most of them have gone home happy!
