I would recommend this lovely home (that is what is it, home away from home) to anyone visiting Edinburgh for business or pleasure. From the wide variety at the breakfast table to the soft clean sheets, the friendly atmosphere and convenience of the location - The hostess and staff are amazing, friendly and maintain your privacy as well. I would...

I really enjoyed staying in this comfortable guest house! The three highlights for me are: 1) Service - you really get a above 5 star hotel service. The owner is very concerned about providing the guests the best experience in Edinburgh. 2) Breakfast - there is a great variety of options available for breakfast, especially if you like fruits! 3)...

Excellent service and breakfast provided by Donna. Clean and comfortable. Convenient location in a quiet road but near a well-served bus route to the city centre. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend.

It is a wonderful Guest House. The rooms are comfortable, nice and clean. The breakfast is really good and Donna (the hostess) is simply lovely. She makes you fell at home during all your stay. Thank you very much Donna!

Kilmaurs is located just off a main road (free parking on street), about a 25 minute scenic walk from the bottom of the Royal Mile, or on a main frequent bus route into town. The owners were very friendly, the rooms were large and comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic - an extensive buffet with lots of...

The Guest House was clean, the breakfast was great and the owners were very friendly and helpful. My only thought was the bathroom was quite small. Not a problem for my cousin and I but would be for a larger person. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we returned.

My self and my husband spent 2 nights at Kilmaurs guest house in Edinburgh. It's our second time there as we enjoyed it so much the first time. I'd say it's the best guest house we've been to!! The guest house is in a great location, on a lovely quiet street only a 2 minute walk from the main road...

My wife and I spend the night here recently and we greatly enjoyed the location near Arthur's Seat. Very easy to get to downtown by bus from the guest house also. Breakfast provided was very good. The owners of the home or pleasant and knowlegable, just do not accidentally peek into a private room, you may be barked at by...

Lovely bedrooms, lovely house. The hostess, Donna, is very welcoming and available for advices and well-beign of her guests. Breakfast was excellent. My bedroom was very cosy and quiet. Kilmaurs guest house is just 5-10mn from main city attractions, by bus. Not so far if you want to walk. I'll go back there when I'm back n Edimbourgh. Thanks Donna...

We very so pleased with our stay at Kilmaurs House. Donna was very helpful and the rooms were comfy and cozy, with a view of Arthur's Seat. The breakfasts were great, with lots of fresh fruit, as mentioned in other reviews. We had trouble picking up our rental car and Donna went out of her way to help us with...

“My room at the back (9) was comfortable, very quiet and had a good view. The shower room was perfect for me but it was rather small and might have been too cramped for a tall person as the ceiling sloped.”
