Upon our arrival we were greeted by the friendly Reta and John. Our first impression was one of warmth and comfort. Our room was excellent. The bedding, the furniture, the decor...

We have just had a fabulous 6 night stay at the Violet Bank House. There aren’t enough stars in the Trip Advisor review system to give it justice here – we would award it 10 if that was possible! From the initial booking, to the very warm and friendly welcome and throughout our stay, our whole experience was of total...

This B&B is an excellent choice for exploring the Edinburgh area. We stayed four nights. The room was spacious and clean. Reta and John make you feel welcome in their home. There is a nice lounge downstairs to enjoy. Breakfast is very good. Reta is so helpful with travel planning as she used to be in the tourism business. The...

This B&B is located in Currie - originally a village now within the city limits of Edinburgh on the southwest side, a short distance from the airport. Busses to the city center leave stop just a few meters from the B&B. There are two pubs with good menus within shouting distance, and other restaurants are within a 20-30 minute walk....

We spent just one night in this beautiful b&b and we felt like home. Both hosts were very helpful and they provided us all the informations we needed to visit the city. The room was ample and very comfortable and offered a view on the lovely rear garden; the en-suite bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast was rich, the buffet...

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Violet Bank. Reta and John were very welcoming and very generous with help and advice about everything we needed from local buses to where to buy lunch for a sick uncle. Our room, and indeed the whole house, was spotless and very comfortable. Our room was at the back of the house...

The beauty and comfort of the house was exceeded only by the hospitality of the host's. The bed and breakfast were beyond anything I expected, making it much more than a "bed and breakfast". Every detail was attended to, from dinner reservations to bus and train schedules and even boarding passes. You will not receive this kind of attention even...
