The shower and toilet were within the actual bedroom itself. No privacy at all. The shower has a dignity screen. However, the mirror within the bedroom shines onto the dignity screen for all to see. We had a twin room, and the single beds looked a lot smaller than a normal single -narrower. I'm pleased our flight was early so we had to leave at 3am. I had a comfier sleep on the plane.
I was amazed at the quality of the room very basic but very clean and has everything you need for a quick stay over .staff were so welcoming , Gave us tips on the best places to eat, trams time ect .a quick 5 minutes walk to the trams , so easy to use .
Tram 2 min walk across road into town. Hotel clean, bed comfortable, nothing too much trouble for staff, all very Friendly could not fault this for the price I paid. Thank you ibis Edinburgh. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and refilled quickly. Word of advice do not expect the same standards in neighbouring Glasgow budget. Aberdeen Ibis is also very clean & comfy.
It’s ok, staff posting on their phones when we arrived and left, plus every time we we asked for information. It really puts you off when staff are like this. The staff at reception aren’t interested in guests as Facebook is more important. Rooms are cosy, breakfast was average. I won’t stay here again unfortunately
The rooms are tiny The rooms are dirty and it ruined our trip so we left early. I complained to the hotel who wouldn’t give me a full refund. Avoid this hotel at al costs. I’ve stayed at better hostels. The deputy manager called Rosa has been rude via email since and wouldn’t take responsibility for the room. There are no sanitary facilities , the furniture was blood / body matter stained and the toilet doesn’t even have a toilet brush. No apology , no responsibility and dreadful attempt at resolution .
This hotel is in a brilliant location for the tram into Edinburgh. It was very clean and staff nice. Breakfast was a good choice. All for a great price.Across the road is shopping centre. My friend and our kids loved the hotel.
As the name says it is a budget hotel and the spartan bedrooms certainly show that. However the room was clean and the lounge area too. Friendly staff. Not quite as near tram station if you have a lot of luggage and also be aware that the first tram doesn’t get you to airport until 6:07 am. If you need to be earlier it’s £15 for a black cab which adds to your overnight cost
Very small rooms but we were fine with it. We only used the room to sleep in and it was perfectly fine. Bed was comfy and everything was clean. We went to the restaurant downstairs for breakfast and sometimes dinner and the food was great. Staff were polite and friendly. The only downside for us is it is far from the center of Edinburgh, we knew this when we booked it but after long days I think a closer one would have been better. It is close to the tram lines though so its easy to go in and out of the center.
The hotel is easy to find, handy for the airport, clean and with helpful staff. However, the bed is like a plank. The facilities are fine, but without a good night's sleep the hotel lets itself down which is a shame. No complaints about the price, but for a few pounds more we would gladly pay for a mattress as opposed to a bench.
Budget by name, and lived up to it. It has an OK location for the nearby business parks. The room is small - see picture - but it was clean and safe. Staff were "OK". I'm glad I only stayed 1 night (for work).
