This Guest House was very disappointing. When I arrived I received a lacklustre welcome from a member of staff. The accommodation looked all very well on the surface, but on closer inspection I found that my washbasin in the en suite was cracked as were two floor tiles, and the towel radiator did not heat up. I told the staff...

I had a one night stay with my partner at the Aaron Lodge guest house, it was recommended to my partner by one of his workmates earlier in the year, we even recommended it to mother (who's in her 70s), her friend and one of my aunts, they stayed there earlier in the year and loved the guest house. The...

My daughter and I stayed here as it was close to the Edinburgh Royal Hospital where my husband was undergoing cardiac surgery. I cannot praise this hotel and it's owners Ted and Dot highly enough. The room was beautiful with huge bed and walk in shower, and the meals, you would think you were dining in a five star restaurant...

We have stayed in many expensive hotels worldwide, and I can safely say the Aaron Lodge, is way at the top of my list. FRIENDLY<CLEAN ,COMFORTABLE and Dinner was DELICIOUS. I am in the same industry,so I can tell this establishment is well run. We will certainly return Caroline.

I would expect an Edinburgh guesthouse to be familiar with gluten-free diet requirements. This one isn't and the only fare on offer to me for an evening meal was steak and chips, minus any sauce. At breakfast, my request for a poached egg was met with "We only do fried eggs" so that had to do. On the positive side...
