My wife and two daughters pent three nights at the Novotel Edinburgh Park. We had the family package of two interconnecting rooms. Our daughters had a double and sofa bed whilst we had a large comfy king bed. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel staff wee friendly and helpful especially the cleaning staff. We had breakfast each morning and the selection of food was good. There is a small gym and pool in the basement who has good for the girls to unwind each day. The tram is a short 5 minute walk and there is a large Tesco opposite the hotel. We have stayed at the hotel before when visiting family and we would happily stay here again.
Very good location, everything is accesible by tram.Roxana,Attila,Alex,Gabor and Ciprian are the nicest and most helpful receptionists, who try to fulfill all requests. The water in the pool is very pleasant and the steam cabin is also very relaxing.Breakfast is fantastic, plenty of choice, however the lady serving breakfast is not very nice.We arrived right at the beginning of breakfast and entered the restaurant, when she rudely kicked us out, saying that they weren't ready yet.
Excellent location right at the end of the M8, very helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was excellent a great start to the day. Hotel was clean and room was a decent size with everything you need including a fridge, facilities including the swimming pool was very good
Stayed here for 2 nights in January as i was visiting a firm in the Gyle business park a short walk away. The hotel is easy to get to being a 1 minute walk from Eduinburgh park tram top, making it an easy find from the airport and easy to get into the city centre, There are a few shops, Aldi, TK max Tescos, within a 5 min walk with a KFC and Krispy kreme just over the roundabout. Staff were helpful and check in was fine, the hotel feels modern and well presented albeit in an anonymous chain, you could be anywhere kind of way. The breakfast was fine with usual selection of buffet hot and cold items. i was booked onto a superior room which is where i felt the hotel fell down somewhat. Although it did have what felt like a newly renovated bathroom the rook consisted of 2 beds which were a strange combination of being smaller than a double but larger than a single which didnt make for a fantastic nights sleep. Also the minibar/fridge was completely empty not even a bottle of water on either night which i found surprising. The view from the room (1st floor 140), was of a flyover and the hotel bins. (there is a reason there are very few external photos of the hotel) which i didnt mind until i was awoken the first morning at 6.20 by the glass bin being emptied. This is the only reason i didnt rate the hotel higher as otherwise was a pleasant stay…
We stayed here just after new year for the night before our flight at Edinburgh airport and it was great as always , we stayed in one of the suites as we had before and it was great to have a relaxing time before we needed to travel , we liked the fact since the last time we stayed they have added some extras in the room the crisps and juice etc Room was spotless and we enjoyed the pool and steam room , just what we needed after a busy Xmas and new year , we will be back sometime this year for sure .
The hotel and facilities are lovely. Very comfortable rooms, lovely food and friendly staff. Swimming pool is lovely with towels so no need to take your own or room towel down. The hotel is very close to the tram stop, train network to get into Edinburgh and the airport.
I stay in Accor Hotels (Mercure, Novotel amongst others) across the UK, this one is the best of them, (closely followed by London Bridge Mercure). Staff are excellent, polite and helpful at all times.
Just a quick review to thank Alesia, who was responsible for preparing my room for arrival. It was immaculate and I think that these members of staff are often overlooked as you may never meet them! The place was spotless and as daft as it sounds, I very much appreciated the wee touch of turning the shower heads towards the wall slightly so I didn't get soaked when turning the water on whilst still fully clothed! On the subject of the shower, it is a wonderful rainfall one as well as a standard shower head and the temperature was divine. Lovely products too. The pool was lovely. The gym is pretty basic and whilst not wanting to criticise, it could be much, much better. Some free weights would be a worthwhile addition. I did visit the bar. Drinks are standard prices with a good selection. My only real area for more negative feedback is the cost of the food. I ordered a chicken tikka masala. It was tasty enough but really only as good as a decent supermarket version. I ordered garlic bread with cheese as a starter. It cost £7 and was vastly overpriced. It did taste very nice but it was 3 small slices of bread. It's not going to stop me visiting - I'll just order something else next time!…
Stayed one night in an executive queen room (upgrade was complimentary) - lovely spacious room with excellent facilities - had a warm welcome from reception staff at start and end of stay - lovely welcome also by the Scottish lady who greeted us at breakfast. The food in the restaurant was very average - breakfast offered a good selection. In all a very good stay and I would not look beyond if needing an airport hotel.
Lovely stay all round: room was upgraded and received small gifts for our anniversary, staff were great especially Gabor at reception who checked us in, room was really nice and bed was really comfy. Loved the bathroom and the new sustainable and ecofriendly free toiletries. Pool and breakfast were great too!
