A perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. Situated in a quite resident area, just a few stops by bus to the centre. Cosy rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay in the Classic Guest House.

We enjoyed our stay here, The guest house is a couple of stops away from the centre, like the Royal Mile, etc. The breakfast was good, the room was comfortable and the guest house manager very attentive.

Had a great time. Very welcoming staff, nice rooms. Breakfast was good too, even though they don't seem to like cheese :) Close enough to the city centre but also close to Holyrood Park. Really enjoyed our time here.

Three of us spent one night here, in two rooms whilst visiting our student son at Edinburgh university. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed a good nights' sleep in spotlessly clean and nicely decorated rooms. In fact, the guest house is nicely decorated throughout. Breakfast was limited to continental but there was an extensive choice available along with...

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my 2 bridesmaids and loved it! Great location for us getting to and from hairdressers etc then to venue. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive. Guesthouse was clean, comfortable and spacious. Will be back!

Our 2nd visit to the Classic. Allocated the same room again, on the 2nd floor - which has a narrow staircase to access, so state on booking if you have a problem with mobility. We were delayed in arrival but the owners were great when I contacted them to advise, organising a key pick up to get in. Clean, tidy...

Our hosts Eman and his wife Fiona were splendid hosts from the beginning. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was quite large as we were in Edinburgh celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Very kind of them to be sure. Great food, clean room and accommodations gave us a heart felt welcome from the beginning. location provides easy access to...

We stayed two nights on the top floor. The stairs are very steep and narrow. Our bathroom/toilet area was very small. The room had an attic-like sloping roof on one side so that made the room seem even smaller. Breakfast was served in a pretty room and made up of boiled eggs, ham, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cheese etc. it...

Overall our experience was okay. In Edinburgh for festival so in that respect good value for money in terms of the rate charged. Location fine and around 15-20 mins walk to most of the fringe venues. Continental breakfast was fine and friendly and lovely old house. Our main comment however is that we were in a standard double room and...
