While the rooms are generally praised for their cleanliness, some visitors have raised concerns about noise and the need for updating certain amenities. The hotel's location garners mixed reviews, being both lauded for its quietness and critiqued for its remoteness. I’ve been living in travelodges due to work for 3 months now and always choose to stay at the Falkirk branch as they are helpful, cheery and spotless. My work is only 25 miles away however I choose to travel that every day as the location of the Falkirk branch and the staff far outweigh any other Travelodge that I’ve stayed in. Your always greeted with a welcome and nothing is ever too much bother.

Overall the rooms were clean and spacious, carpets need a proper vacuum, pay someone to hoover properly and not use robotic hoovers as they just aren't up to the job. There are very few staff available, most times at reception there is just a notice up with a number to call if you need assistance. The motorway noise was not an issue for me but the lack of a cooked breakfast was, when I made the booking I opted for breakfast but it was not mentioned that this hotel only offers a breakfast box, basically cereal, milk and a brioche, as I don't drink milk this was totally unsuitable for me and they never arrived, needless to say I will be making a claim to be reimbursed

The room we had on the ground floor was great for having our dog with us, when we arrived it was clean and tidy and everything i was looking for.
The staff were pleasant at all times and helpful as we also found the door key cards intermittently stopped working.
We were there for 5 nights and the room wasn't attended to in that time, the tea and coffee wasn't replenished and no cleaning was done, i was unaware that you ask for it to be done either verbally or some say putting a sign on the door when you require it?

I generally like Travelodge, but this one was awful! It was so noisy, the windows and walls felt paper thin. There were people outside reving their engine till late and people inside shouting and making lots of noise all through the night.
When we entered the room it stunk like someone had sprayed a couple of cans of febreze. The bed was broken at the bottom, didn't look very nice or clean. The toilet didn't flush very well and the shower collected water.
I wanted to borrow a hairdryer, but no one was at the desk and no bell to call anyone. I knocked on the door and shouted and eventually got someone.
The sanitiser station was empty at the side, there was a pump on reception when we arrived, but that had gone later. The receptionist had their mask under their nose and no one else in the hotel seemed to wear one except us.
Generally it just didn't feel very clean out safe.

We were met by an unhelpful Duty Manager. The room had a smoke alarm covered with a plastic bag, the sole double socket was faulty, half the lights did not work. The overbath shower was dangerous to use. Furniture had clearly been removed from the room leaving a large empty space. The only positive point was that it was clean. We had booked Breakfast Boxes, but when realising how inadequate they were, my husband cancelled them. We were promised a refund but this did not materialise. It took a long email exchange to secure this. Customer Service response was to brush off our complaints and to give the refund "by way of apology". I accept the hotel is basic, but it failed to meet even minimal standards.

Good customer service, easy check in , easy check out, room on ground floor. Kettle, tea, coffee, toilet roll, milk, bath towels all provided in the room, window in the room plus a fan. Bath+shower was a bonus, family room. Extra pillows provided. Only downside was bed was hard other than that would book again, 8/10.

I booked a family room that stated there would be two king sized beds in the room. There was one, and then 2 smaller beds pushed together. The smaller bed were more like camp beds and were not comfortable.
After having driven a long way and been around lots of the sights of the area during the day, a good nights sleep was needed but I didn’t sleep that well at all.
Not only was the bed uncomfortable, we were also on the ground floor in the first room next to the entrance. With this being a 24 hour hotel people can go in and out, but I find that people aren’t overly considerate in the level of noise they were making, or where they stood when smoking. This led to us having to shut our windows which then meant the room got extremely hot due to 4 people in the room. We also found rubbish that had been left by previous occupants of the room on the wardrobe hanging section and under the bed which left us wondering whether the room had been cleaned properly, plus there was only one tea bag in the pot for us to use.
The shower was okay and the tv worked okay, although was very limited in the channels it picked up.
For a room to sleep in for a night, my dad and the kids seemed to sleep okay, but I really struggled and just felt like it wasn’t really the sort of room I expected.
The man on the reception desk was friendly though and parking was easy to access, plus it’s located in a good place to get to the local attractions.

This Travelodge is tired and run down.
A previous guest had obviously had a dog in the room we were given. There were thick clumps of dog hair over the carpet, with little piles collecting around the skirting and bases of furniture. The carpet was very grubby and stained.
There were dirty marks on the walls, the bathroom was not clean (I had wiped the toilet seat down prior to using it, as there were yellow, removable marks on it!) and the sink was not draining properly.
When we complained, a lovely receptionist (Nicola) brought up a vacuum cleaner...she was clearly embarrassed that we had been given a room that had not been cleaned properly, if not at all. She explained to us that this hotel is "pet friendly", however her vacuum cleaner was not powerful enough to remove the hairs from the carpet. My argument would be that if the hotel wants to be "pet friendly" then it should have the necessary cleaning equipment.
After a failed attempt to clean the carpet, we were offered another room, so had to pack up and move. This time we were on the opposite side of the hotel, looking out on the motorway. This was extremely noisy, with cars on the go all night, very close to our window. So we had to sleep with the window closed, on a very warm night.

First time at this lodge and not disappointed. Room, bathroom, towels all very clean and great value for money. Adjacent restaurant was also great value.
The friendly and helpful chap at reception, Roy, deserves a mention.

I was booked for two nights. I only needed short quick access to internet. The room key wallet states

" *30 minutes free per 24 - hour period
24 hour customer helpdesk 03306601141 "

My first day 30 minutes was OK but there was no second day 30 minutes. Why not?

Arrived at the hotel at 19:45 after a very long day travelling to find our room had been checked into by another guest , we booked a family room.

Was told the hotel was fully booked and was given a single room which wasn't any good as I was traveling with a work colleague and didn't fancy sharing beds.

We walked back to reception and explained the situation and was told to wait while the receptionist phoned the manager, we was then told that the mistake was the room just wasn't set up correctly and she would put the other beds in place which I found impossible as the room was tiny just big enough for a double bed.

After 45 minutes our room was ready we opened the door to find two single beds in a disabled room , not happy at all as this wasn't the room we had booked no apology from the hotel the room was boiling.

To make matters worse due to the massive delay with check in the restaurant next to the hotel had finished serving food so after 6 hours driving and 10 hours at work no food a terrible room won't be returning here.

Photo of our so called family room !

There are no fridges in the rooms. However, we made our own breakfast each morning - fruit juice, cereal, croissants and tea/coffee. There is a garage not far up the Polmont Road(almost opposite the exit from the Travelodge) where you can get fresh milk, juice etc. and they open early. There is also an Aldi supermarket in Polmont. Hope this has been helpful.
