“Welcome to cell block H - if you want to experience jail life you have come to the right place. You cell is 6x6 and you get to experience communal showers - just don’t drop the soap. If you pay an extra £10 per night you can have a room with a shower and a built in toilet in the shower do you can poop and shower at the same time. “

Our excuse is that we booked last minute and had no other options nearby and already had tickets for Fringe. However, that being said, this place was horrific. Hygiene is not on their agenda, nor is general maintenance. We paid extra for an ensuite bathroom, and it was just a toilet inside a shower cubicle. We ended up at the nearest Asda buying our own pillows and bed linens as well as antibacterial wipes and sprays. From the entrance to the bedside, the carpet is threadbare and stained beyond description. The bedside stain was the most troubling..... as it was pretty obvious which body fluid it was! Thank god i had no black light! The mattress was paper thin even with the topper and you can feel every aspect of the box frame below. We get that it is a budget 'hotel', but there is no budget so low as to explain this environment. The shower head alone could spread legionnaires disease, and i really wish that I was exaggerating. Please, at all costs, read the reviews, do your research, and if you still choose to stay, bring your own linens and cleaning products. Not kidding. This is absolutely, without a doubt, the worst place we have ever stayed. A true cess pit. Rancid, grotty, and harrowing.

My friend's and I booked a couple of rooms a few months ago. We soon found out after we travelled for hours, we weren't welcome paying customer's as they weren't open to the public, but we're open to taking money happily, knowing this information. The info wasn't given to us just about as we arrived at the hotel, which actually looked like a good place to stay for the price. Unfortunately customer service doesn't come included in this price as there cheeky bast$@ds.. The on duty manager at the time was also not included in the price just as ignoriont as all the other staff. Eventually we found out we couldn't get our bookings due to the confirmed info that the place was booked up with asylum seekers. It's not the Asylum seekers fault, it's hotel staff and management obviously squeezing our taxpaying selfs money. This hotel chains squeezing our government because it's a far lot more they charge than normal, in fact the prices are ridiculously expensive that you can get a 5 star hotel for the prices charged. So that's why you got a 1 star rating OYO Hotels.... Would have been zero if possible. Worst treatment we've ever had from a hotel yet, no where's even come close. Ps... Stick your compinsation who'd want to stay in any your other hotel's after that treatment.

the room was small, comfortable and very basic. great for a stop over. though wouldn't want to stop there for a week.
the toilets and shower rooms where clean
we had an on suite, which was a small shower room with toilet and sink
there was vending machines if you needed and a great coffee machine
in the rooms there was coffee making facilities
best thing was that it was dog friendly
will use again if we need a stop over as it's more like a youth hostel than hotel

I arrived at this hotel at 2pm absolutely exhausted and checked in to the room and closed blind and fell asleep as soon as I lay down. I woke up 3 hours later and put on the lights to make a cup of coffee. I noticed the floor was unhoovered and had nails, rice, and various other bits and bobs lying all over the carpet. God knows when it was last hoovered? I checked the rest of the room and there were cobwebs joining the bed to bedside units so no idea when last cleaned/dusted? Empty toilet roll tube down the back of bedside cabinet. This would be unacceptable anytime regardless of it being a budget hotel. But during this pandemic it is absolutely disgusting! Hygiene should be paramount!!!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They clearly do not give a sh#t about customer safety and hygiene standards. They are also refusing a refund so I am reporting them and taking this further!!

Absolute junkie den, room has no toilet or shower, just a manky sink in the corner with NO HOT WATER. 1 toilet and 1 shower for maybe 20 rooms. Don’t sit on the bog for too long, you’ll end up drowning in the ‘self cleaning toilets’. And as for the shower, make sure you flip flops because there’s about an inch of muck and grime on the floor. Delightful place

A group arrived to the property to stay for the week as working away, what a waste of money and appalling state for guest to check in !!!!! The rooms were not not cleaned and I was told by the receptionist on the phone they didn't have time to clean the , going into the bathroom we was gobsmacked at the state pubes, hair and mud in the showers, dirt all over the bedroom floors, mould on the walls, stinks like smoke, wee left in the toilets, bag of rubbish left in the room, I cannot believe booking.com would even let this hotel on there website its disgusting! waiting on a refund from booking.com as the hotel do not think there is anything wrong with the hotel and do not think we should have a full refund totally unacceptable!

This “hotel” is a nightmare. Utter false advertising.
No blinds on windows, dirty stained windows and mirrors, splodges of suspicious substances on the walls, window sills dirty. The whole room including the bed looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in about 10 years! The fact they can advertise this utter filth for £40 a night is atrocious.
Do not dare come here, save your money you’d get a better / cleaner sleep on the bins outside.
