My first visit and it was a surprise 60th party for a family member. Absolutely fab evening. Attentive and lovely staff, great food and use of a private room for the evening, perfect....❤️ Haggis starter, roast beef main course, lemon tart dessert followed by homemade tablet and tea or coffee, delicious and main course piping hot! I stayed at the Garvock House Hotel for the first time over the past three nights. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and elegantly decorated and furnished. Lovely rooms which are very clean and modern bathrooms. We had a function there which was very well organised and the staff were excellent. The owners are heavily involved in ensuring everything is...

We visited this hotel last month as part of a wedding party weekend. After our nearly 8 hour journey from the south West of England to this Hotel we were pretty much tired . On entering the hotel grounds the place looked very well kept and not a stone out of place .What a lovely suprise it was to be...

Stayed here three or four times. Had one bad room that was noisy. The food is good with good service but the bar has limited choice. Being close to town means other food options are easy access. All in I would stay here again.

I joined a large group of friends here recently for an occasion and we had afternoon tea. This is a beautiful building set on a hillside surrounded by pretty gardens. It was a sunny autumn afternoon and the light cascaded in through the windows of the function suite we were in. The room contained a fully equipped bar and we...

Lovely traditional stone built hotel set in well maintained gardens in a quiet part of Dunfermline. A traditional full service hotel, nothing is too much trouble, and the food was good. Edinburgh and the Fife coast are easily accessible, and it's much cheaper than staying Edinburgh. Also only a short ride to Edinburgh airport.

I've stayed in this a hotel a few times on business and always receive a warm welcome. Rooms are fine - it's just a shame that sometimes all the double rooms are booked so I have to go in a single room and the beds are tiny !

Garvock House Hotel is a very cozy and nice hotel. They have really good food and very nice staff. Best place ever to stay when in Dunfermline. Placed a little outside city center, but still in walking distance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In a delightfully elevated position in the ancient capital of Dunfermline - Garvock House sits proudly in over 2 acres of gardens, a glorious testimony to its hey day as a stunning family house. Truly 'the country house hotel in town.' Family owned and run, Garvock House has been transformed into a delightful hotel retaining an authentic and rather special country house charm and informality: relaxing and elegant with classic interiors, very comfortable furnishings and spacious rooms. And a passion for fresh produce which remains undimmed. Dunfermline hotels just don't come better than this. ... more   less
