The other reviews are spot on. Beautiful, clean, quiet, perfect B&B. Think John has to have the best place in Scotland, and is the nicest host too, so relaxed, helpful and friendly. Cannot say enough about this wee place, would never consider staying anywhere else in St Andrews after perfect two days. Thanks a million John!

We stayed here for just the one night (many local places stated 2 nights minimum stay) and wouldn't hesitate to recommend John and his B&B to other tourists or more regular visitors. After a very late running train, John accommodated us fantastically and was more than happy to help with luggage arrangements the next day. Breakfast was fantastic and the...

I stayed at The Spindle with my girlfriend for 1 night at the end of May 2015. We were welcomed by John who was a friendly and attentive host. The B&B is located opposite the pretty Kinnesburn and is quiet as it sits back from the road. The centre of St Andrews is a 5 minute walk away, so excellent...

Very nice bed and breakfast in St Andrews and extremely handy for the centre. Bedrooms super, John a great host and breakfast super. Hens in the garden and a stream at the bottom of the garden. Lovely - look no further - you have found the perfect spot to explore the City and Fife!

The owner cannot do enough to help you. Full value for money and only a short walk to the town centre.A short taxi ride will bring you to the St. Andrews golf links which is a must for all you golfers out there.

I stayed here for two nights while visiting university friends. It is a charming house with a welcoming owner in a delightful, quiet location within easy walking distance of the old town centre. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The breakfast options are many and varied and everything I had was very well done....

Our daughter attends the university and we were there for a three day visit. The location was in a very quiet area just a short walk into town. John was a most gracious and kind host willing to help in any detail possible. The room was clean and comfortable with an excellent and fully provisioned en suite bath. The breakfasts...

What a beautiful little piece of Scotland. St Andrews is a stunning place and quintessentially Scottish! The Spindle is a quaint little cottage with a stream running by and close to town! Your host John simply could not to more! He was a great host and made our stay easy! Really enjoyed this little B&B
