Val was a lovely host! Next time I'm in St Andrews I will definitely visit! Fantastic location, lovely breakfast. My room was at the front and was lovely and spacious! Very clean and tidy and a really homely feeling too. And if you ask for recommendations on food the answers are great. Definitely visit QBBQ just up the street from...

Having been unable to get into our usual B & B for our annual pilgrimage to the home of golf, we had to try somewhere new and ended up choosing the interestingly named Hoppity House. The location is absolutely cracking, minutes from the Old Course, Town Centre etc etc so it makes getting around a doddle. Val's breakfasts were excellent,...

We decided to travel to St Andrews at very short notice for business purposes and were very grateful to get a booking on the day of travel. I spoke with Valerie on the telephone who confirmed the booking and kindly offered to change the room from a twin to a double for our arrival later that day. On arrival we...

I actually don't think I can do this place justice with this write-up. Seriously, I can't ever recall ever having the service we received any where, anytime. Val, our innkeeper, is truly amazing. I don't know what she won't do for you! I need my nails attended to - Oh Yes! I'll make an appointment! I'd like to play golf...

We stayed at the Hoppity house for 4 nights for a golfing weekend with the family. Very nice guest house, within walking distance from the Old Course. Small but friendly and familiar feeling. Rooms are a bit small, but very clean and with comfortable beds. Manager and staff makes you feel welcome and serves you a traditional English breakfast, with...

My partner and I had short stay in St Andrews and were so fortunate to have stayed at Hoppity House. Great welcome set the tone which continued through our stay. Clean rooms, great breakfast and lots of little extras in the room to make our stay even better. We will be back. Gordon and Heather were the perfect hosts.

Our second visit to Hoppity House, and plan to come back again. An ideal location just a walk from the Town Centre, the Old Course and the beach. Gordon is an excellent host, happy to recommend places to eat and drink or visit. Hoppity House is a lovely old town house, clean and bright and the breakfast was delicious and...
