We chose this as our spot for a couple nights with the intention of getting over jet lag; Rick Steves gave this place rave reviews, and I'm undecided. Indeed, that there are many positives about this location....for starters, the staff are very warm, friendly and helpful....the breakfast is solid, but they charge extra for eggs which I thought was a...

Dear JediSushichef Thank you for pointing out two of the best features of Adelaides the location and the staff both of which are regularly praised as you yourself have done. I would like to take this forum to address some of the issues you raised in your review. In the last few years we have included continental breakfast into our...

My friend and I had a wonderful experience at Adelaides in Glasgow. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The room are clean, the breakfast is excellent, and the location is perfect, walking distance to downtown and many amenities. I would highly recommend Adelaides guest house, and would choose it in a moment if I should travel to Scotland again.

We stayed here for three nights and everything was in order; the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the place was very hygienic, the location was good (downtown and West End are both in walking distance), and the price-quality ratio was fine. Would recommend it.

I stayed here several months ago.I flew into Glasgow, but didn't expect to like Glasgow, so I just booked one night there and left for Edinburgh the next day. However, in the 24 or so hours I was there, I found that I like Glasgow. A lot. Mostly because of the people I encountered there, including at Adelaide's. Adelaide's is...

Adelaides might only be a 2 star B&B but it is perfect for a short break in a city centre. The room was more than adequate, good size and lovely clean and comfy beds. The continental breakfast is included but for just £6 you can have a tasty Scottish breakfast cooked by a lovely lady who is very accomdating and...

Adelaide's was not at the fancy end of lodgings. Staff were helpful and friendly. The price was good for Glasgow. Our room was nice but, although it could have used some updating. Nice bathroom, nice bed, and good wifi. Breakfast was good, with good choices for us. Good location not too far from the Glasgow School of Art. We would...

We found Adelaides to be an understated, pretty guest house. A great value! Our two night stay was characterized by a lovely room, a simple, sufficient free continental breakfast (traditional Scottish breakfast available for a few extra pounds), and, most of all, an outgoing, friendly staff. Ted, in particular, made sure we were set with walking directions to the day's...

We loved our chance to stay in a unique environment. The rooms were comfortable and had all that we needed. A tasty continental breakfast came with the nightly rate, but one could request a cooked meal for 6 pounds. The location was great--within walking distance of the main sights. The best part about our stay was the desk agent upon...

Had a great 2 night stay at Adelaides. Staff on reception very helpful, giving us lots of local tips and information on getting about. Room was great, clean and spacious with plenty of storage with a good sized bathroom with a powerful shower. As we stayed at the weekend only continental breakfast was available so didn't bother getting up early...
