My daughter and I visited Glasgow, Scotland in October 2013 and had booked 2 nights at Adelaides based on Tripadvisor reviews. What a nice little gem! My daughter had spoken with Ted at Adelaides about the booking and it was like dealing with an old friend. After taking a bus from Cardiff to Glasgow, we were within walking distance of...

Adelaides is a decent place to stay in Glasgow. It is two blocks off of Sauchiehall Street so there are lots of eating and shopping places nearby. The room I had was fairly large with two beds, TV, coffee maker, etc. It had good lighting both artificial and natural. The room backed up on, and had a view of, the...

We arrived in Glasgow after a rather unexpected change of plans during our holiday. The lovely people at the Tourist Office sorted us out with rooms at Adelaide's and we definitely landed on our feet. The ensuite double we had was really comfortable, quiet and clean, with hot chocolate and shortbread available in the rooms. Ted, the friendly raconteur at...

We got there pretty late on Saturday night, and the clerk was waiting for us. He had everything ready and even gave us a key to the front door in case we wanted to go out and walk around (since the door was locked that late at night). Nice rooms. Only thing to notice is that on the weekends they...

I stayed at this Hotel in a single room and shared bathroom during the month of September for a week. All those at the front desk were very helpful with directions and any questions needed to be answered. The room is smaller but cozy my room was quite clean and the bathroom was also not too bad. It is in...

We (5 male around 30 years) stayed in this hotel. My room was directly next to a day nursery and its toilet (both are located in the cellar of the hotel). This was quite noisy during day. The room itself was ok. Clean and good mattresses. The breakfast was unfortunately very poor. A lot of thinks like butter, milk or...

We found ourselves in Glasgow without reservation and were quickly connected to this B & B by the tourist help desk at the airport! You simply take the #500 city bus just outside the airport door and it will drop you off two blocks from Adelaides. We were exhausted as we just arrived from the states. The staff quickly took...

This B&B was definitely better compared to hotel Pros: - fair location, 10-15 minutes walk to city center - they suggested a free upgrade from single no-bathroom to double en-suite room - extremely helpful staff: helped me book a tour, helped with local phone calls to find a room when they were fully booked, etc. - they allowed me to...

We booked one night with Adelaide's, mostly because we wanted to be centrally located so that we could go to the Ubiquitous Chip (renewing an acquaintance we made 31 years ago; still a great place to eat). Indeed, Adelaide's was a quick trip from the Queen Street train station, where we had arrived from Skye, so minimal taxi fees, and...

Adelaides Guest House is very well located given it is 10 minutes walk from the train station, shopping centres, shops, etc. Rooms are very well equipped and cheap. The only disadvange is that breakfast is very simple, although good.
