Couldn't have been happier with our stay. Great location for House for an Art lover which is where we were attending a wedding. Good price for a nights stay and breakfast. Owner John was really welcoming and couldn't have done more for us. Really nice and spacious rooms and a great breakfast. Would most certainly recommend and would stay again...

These people running this house were the greatest hosts we have ever experienced. They went out of their way to make sure we were looked after in every way, even to giving up their private digs for a couple of nights. Food was beyond belief, service out of this world. John even took us in his own car to my...

Chosen for location as attending a music event in Shawlands but would stay in the area again as interesting local parks, gardens etc, free parking & excellent transport links to City centre. Well maintained, sympathetically decorated, beautiful sandstone property, spotless comfortable bedroom/ wet room and use of lovely sitting room and kitchen should we have had time to use them....

I couldn't be at the hotel. The booking was made though booking.com, and asked to cancel by the property asserting that it was fully booked. But the availability the day after was still there at higher price. Good way to optimize profit in high-demand times.

So disappointed to see your review, especially for the fact that you never set foot in our property and that is what TripAdvisor is all about. As explained we were in fact fully booked - due to a special offer we had running - hence the slightly cheaper price. Was concerned though with regards to your very abrupt message, we...

Booked for 2nights and John (the owner) could not do enough. Very informative of what's was in the local area. Very keen to help us with travel arrangements to help with our stay. Breakfast was great with a good choice and served with a huge smile could not do enough for us. Room was large and comfortable. Bed linen and...

It's no surprise that this is the no.1 rated guest house in Glasgow. The accommodation itself is a lovely period building, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are spotless, the breakfast delicious and the kitchen where you can make a cuppa or even cook a meal makes it a home away from home. What really stands out though is...

After several failed attempts to book one of the more well known hotels in Glasgow for an overnight stay, we found The Glasgow Guest House - what a find indeed and very reasonably priced! A warm and inviting welcome from John Naismith, the owner, awaited us after a long drive down from the north when also getting a little lost...

For over 20 years we have been going to the Glasgow Guest House when in Glasgow. John, the proprietor, ever friendly and helpful has created an atmosphere that affects all the guests and ensures a happy stay. Its situation is ideal for access to the city centre by train or bus, to parks, museums, art galleries and motorways.

I stayed here 9-10 th November. Stayed in suite which was spacious, clean and warm. John was very helpful - even getting Soya milk just for me. Liked that you can make your own evening meals and would really recommend.
