Make sure you don't end up in Room 3 on a Saturday night If you're planning a quiet night in! The pub next door started blasting out loud music at 6 o clock and it continued until 12.30 the next morning, making sleep impossible. Obviously the Hotel management have no control over noise levels from the adjoining pub, but it...

Glasgow is a very vibrant and lively city especially at the weekends, someone coming from Shetland will no doubt find it a lot noisier on a Saturday night than at home. If you are looking for a quiet hotel then city centre hotels are not the place for you. The pub downstairs from the hotel is a completely separate business...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Acorn hotel. We were very impressed with the stylish decor and David on reception was lovely. Luggage can be left before checking in. It was situated in an ideal location for us and onstreet parking was available at the weekend free of charge. I will hopefully be back and would definately recommend it...

On arrival into Glasgow I walked to the Acorn hotel and it was about 30min walk. It is situated to the west and is in a nice quiet area. Next to the hotel is two small restrauants come wine bar. You enter the hotel by buzzer and I only waited seconds to be greeted with a smile and a very...

I would travel to Glasgow 2-3 times a year, staying up to 5 nights at a time with my girlfriend and having stayed at this hotel over 6 times now I would say it is excellent value for money and a very comfortable stay. I find the staff very pleasant and helpful. For example, they had no issues with printing...

Stayed here over a weekend trip to Glasgow for a gig at the SSE Hydro. Staff very friendly on desk, very nicely decorated and modern. Rooms good size for a couple. Breakfast was amazing. Good location - 5mins walk from Charing Cross, close to town town centre and SSE Hydro, SECC etc. only down points were water for shower wasn't...

We stayed here Fri -Sun. We were welcomed at the front door by Joe who then booked us in.He was polite, friendly and very helpful. Joe equipped us with a parking pass for Friday afternoon for only £2 and explained that the parking opposite the hotel would be free for the remainder of the weekend. He gave us directions for our...

We stayed at this hotel for one mid-week night while attending a concert in Glasgow. It is very comfortable and extremely clean and well presented. Staff are very friendly and breakfast is freshly cooked and generous! We will be back!

Last minute booking, reasonably priced near Centre of Town. Pleasant and friendly staff, good service. Rooms clean with everything you'll need. High quality hair straighteners excellent touch. Tasty breakfast great selection, only negative comment is we were not made aware that last orders for cooked breakfast was 20mins before breakfast stated end of breakfast time. Staff very accommodating. Definitely worth...

I stayed here on the 13th with my girlfriend for valentines. Thought if book it as it seemed like a decent 4* hotel. However it is far from 4*. There is no bar, lounge and there is only one member of staff that deals with both reception and breakfast. It is small and I would class it as a bed...

We do not claim to be a 4 star hotel, our grading is a Visit Scotland 3 Star Metro hotel, as stated on the plaque at the front entrance. There is a small bar serving a variety of soft and alcoholic drinks, including champagne. The rate of £110 was a special rate as it was not only Saturday night but...

I stayed in this hotel as it was 2 mins from a training venue and so was perfect in respect of location for the Kelvingrove area. You can also walk to the city centre from here which will take 15-20mins so again no big deal. I have to challenge the hotel's description of being a '4* Boutique Hotel'. In my...

Unfortunately it would seem that there was a clash of personalities between our Duty Manager and this guest, we do strive to maintain a professional manner at all times but we like to lighten this with humour if we can, but we do need to be careful how we do that and who with and it would seem that on...
