First time of visiting Glasgow, staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff were full of useful information about the surrounding areas, bars, food. Rooms/beds were lovely. The room and bathroom was very clean! No parking though. Luckily for us we stayed on the weekend so there was parking nearby, however if you are staying in the week it may...

I picked this hotel as it was walking distance from the shops and the Hydro where we were going for a show. Looked a little run down from the outside but beautifully presented once though the door. The man at reception (Joe) was polite and helpful. We were in room 5 on the ground floor. Room small, clean but perfectly...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel, I am terribly sorry that you were disturbed by noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs. It is not a club and only has a license to 11pm, its patrons should not be allowed to drink outside after 10pm. We do try our best to monitor the opening hours of...

We stayed overnight at the end of October 2014 en route northwards to our Highland timeshare holiday - It was an absolutely top-notch experience. Booking: We booked directly with the hotel, by phone, and they were extremely helpful. We had my 87-year-old mother-in-law with us so asked if they had any ground-floor rooms available - at the time of booking...

Stayed over at this hotel recently after a concert at the King Theatre , i must say the room -although small- was clean and comfortable , i would have liked free parking but was not too much of a hassle , the breakfast was lovely giving that home cooked feeling instead od the usual industrial style provisions , the waitress...

When I arrived I was given a key and breakfast times but no information whatever about the hotel, nor was there any in the room. Room 1 overlooked the main street at ground level and was single glazed. Passers by could see directly into the room so the blind had to be kept closed at all times. Furnishings and decor...

The Acorn Hotel appears freshly renovated and is clean and welcoming. It's only small, and little more than a B&B in some respects. The receptionist on duty was friendly, even though I had to ask him to stay a bit later than normal as my train from London had been delayed. (Check-in normally closes at 1000pm, although later check-ins are...

Stayed here with boyfriend September weekend. Very relaxing, comfortable cosy hotel near west end and Glasgow city centre. Had a great meal at Mr Singhs restaurant on same street as hotel. Hotel staff friendly and welcoming and room very clean. Will stay again.

Very friendly receptionist. My complain is about the quality of sleep we had and the inconsiderate guests. We were staying in Room no.1 which has two seats outside it in the hallway that was used by some to hold a meeting last night. They were loud and their meeting went on well past midnight. To top it all, the window...

I can only apologise for your disturbed sleep. The chairs in the corridor are for guests waiting on a taxi, they should not have been used for meetings, we will do our best to resolve this problem.

Had a fantastic stay at the Acorn Hotel last weekend. The hotel looked a bit rundown from outside but inside it was lovely. The rooms were so much bigger than I expected and came complete with a hairdryer and GHDs (fantastic idea!) I had a great nights sleep and was not bothered by any external noise. We had breakfast included...

Thank you for your valued review, we can only apologise for staff smoking in the vicinity of the dining room, let me assure you that they have been reprimanded and hopefully this will not happen again.
