This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Radisson RED Glasgow garners high marks for its vibrant atmosphere and modern charm, with guests often noting the proximity to concert venues and the buzz from live music, although some mention noise as a downside. The rooms are applauded for their cleanliness and contemporary amenities, yet a few guests have raised concerns about maintenance and the effectiveness of the air conditioning. While opinions on value are mixed, due to additional costs and food quality, the hotel's amenities, including the lauded Sky Bar and its views, contribute to the overall positive experience. Moreover, the hotel's location is consistently celebrated for its easy access to The Hydro and city attractions, and while the staff's service is esteemed, there are occasional reports of delays during peak times.

Firstly, we checked in on 2nd February as we attended a show in the Armadillo. Check in and everything was great. Staff super friendly and chatty. Room was lovely. We had been allocated a disabled room, we didn’t pick this, it was just the room we were allocated. We went down for something to eat and went to the show. On return we went to go to bed to hear a strange vibrating sound coming through the wall. We tried for a couple of hours to get to sleep but it was unbearable. I called down to reception to see if they were able to move us, but due to the show they were fully booked & unable to facilitate any room change. The night manager, Chris Ward came up to hear the noise and to speak to us. He was unable to turn off the heating unit that was making the noise as this was for the entire hotel, which we totally understand. Luckily, I hadn’t been feeling too good and hadn’t had any alcohol, so we left and went home. By the time we got home at 0150, I had already received an email from Chris, apologising that he couldn’t resolve the issue and offering us a complimentary stay with an upgraded room and welcome drinks. We took him up on the offer. We were really impressed at how quickly he acted to try rectify this situation. I hope the hotel recognise the staff that do go the extra mile for their company. We thereafter, checked in on 13th April, to a hydro view superior room, as promised there was a cocktail and a can of beer in the room for our arrival. The room was lovely and spacious with a gorgeous view across the Clyde. The bed and pillows were so comfy, so much so, I slept for 10hours! Bathroom had a large walk in shower with rainfall setting which was amazing! All the staff we encountered throughout our stay were friendly and bubbly, they couldn’t do enough to help. We visited the Sky bar for a couple of drinks in the late afternoon, which was really nice, though I don’t think it is quite our scene at night, too much fake tan and turkey teeth for us, but a lovely area and view during the day. We had drinks in the bar downstairs which was much quieter. The hotel had a great choice of breakfasts. I opted for the omelette (which was cooked to perfection) and hubby had the full cooked breakfast, which looked so good. There was a station with all the usual continental stuff, as well as salmon. Tea’s coffee, juice all the usual stuff. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. The second visit more than compensated for the first and we know not to take a room ending in 26 as that’s where the racket was.

From start to finish I had a perfect stay. Location, staff and facilities were all 5 stars. A perfect room for the night with an extremely comfy bed. If anyone is looking for a home from home for the night then I can't recommend here enough to be looked after by the amazing staff.

Top class. I’ve been to many events here, but stayed for the first time on Friday. Room: excellent. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in, everything was spotless, the views amazing and there were some nice touches. A beer and a gin sat at the table that overlooked the Rotunda, the SEC complex and the Clyde. Breakfast was varied, delicious and fast. Service was simple, down to earth and not over-bearing. (Compared to other experiences). All in all, a must! Thank you team RED 👏👏

After a long trek from Canada to Scotland and my luggage didn’t make it with me, the service and the quality of the food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic; the pizza was excellent and made my day better. A special thanks to Poppy, Sophie and Innis.

I've been to this hotel lots of times for drinks and food (including the sky bar) and its always been OK but if there is an event on it become ms farcical. The staff treat people like their pieces of rubbish (even if you're not drinking alcohol). This whole up and down in lifts and you can buy a drink at the event in the sky bar but if you take it to your room you can't take it down to go back up even though it's their glass and drink. It's madness and a frustrating way to treat adults

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at the end of March with a Superior Hydro view room which was fantastic with the most comfortable bed ever, floor to ceiling windows and a perfect bathroom. All staff encountered were brilliant. The lobby area whilst modern and trend comes across as a bit messy. What the hotel lacks is a cafe to grab light bites and drinks to buy on the go and there is no room service. Hotel restaurant food was decent but with incredible long waiting times sadly, or just a bad night. The jewel in the crown of course is the Red Sky bar which truly is fantastic anytime of the day. Great drinks and delicious food is served in a wonderful atmosphere and setting. However, if there is an event on at the Hydro it becomes too overcrowded and the staff literally cannot cope and the place loses its appeal, getting barged and jostled is no fun for anyone.
