Conveniently located and large comfortable beds. Have stayed here a couple of times now and will always check it as an option if I'm heading to Glasgow. Close to the bus station and a relatively short uphill walk or quick taxi ride from Central Station.
I'll start with the good things: Good location near many restaurants and bars. Good selection at breakfast. But.... Rooms are tiny. Smallest i have ever stayed in. Just enough room for a bed. There is no room to even put the suitcase. The shower is so small that the sink is inside the room. The whole hotel seems to have been designed by an over motivated art student, trying to make the place look cool but resulting in extremely noisy and unpleasant design. They also tried to take a high-tech approach with an ipad controlled room, which doesn't work well. You can't even dim the lights to keep it very low for sleep. Either lights on or pitch black dark. Only one large table to share in breakfast area which is nice if you want to meet new people but not so much of you want your own quiet corner. Check-in is with a very confusing self-service system ending with a receptionist having to assist everyone, so what's the point? We moved to this hotel from another one in Glasgow just to get a better location. Now we wish we hadn't moved. Avoid, avoid, avoid …
Great experince at a modern hotel. Loved the contemporary design. The public spaces were higher quality than my office and better designed. The room was comfortable and staff friendly. Great place if you are travelling and remote working
Great hotel for location for entertainment & shopping . Close to bus train stations but car park close by which is great value as hotel stamp ticket. Love the late check out . Staff very helpful & friendly . Rooms comfortable. Room layout is good however its all in one but ideal for couple
What a relaxing, well needed and deserved overnight at the CitizenM. One of my upmost favourite hotels in Glasgow to spend an overnight in. From check in to check out, everything went smoothly. Room was clean, comfortable and just relaxing. I was able to do some much needed online training for my work in the bar area and later on, had a fabulous shower and then casted a show from my Netflix to the tv screen. Bliss!! Highly recommend.
All the staff members were great and my positive experience wouldn’t have been the same without. I must however mention and single out Amanda. Not only was she great, I’d say she was all round exceptional! From: . Her welcoming spirit . Her excellent customer service . Her ability to listen and provide clear and concise answers without making me feel guilty for asking umpteen questions. . Her beautiful smile, which was the last thing I saw walking out of the hotel at checkout. I highly recommend!
Speedy check in, lovely slick room and modern savvy bar and seating area. Everywhere was very clean. Good price. Best thing about the place are the staff who are very willing to speak to you, which is nice. Amanda at the bar was great, thanks again for putting up with us when we were foo! 🤪
The hotel rooms are OK although they are getting a bit tired now with some chipped furniture and peeling wallpaper. Honestly, though, the dinner I had ("goan fish curry") was among the worst I've ever had... tiny portion of stale food which wasn't even vaguely as stated on the menu ("roast potatoes on the side" = a handful of tiny squares of boiled potato stirred through, "a feast" = see photo with fork in it for scale, I reckon it was about 2cm deep in this small flat plate, there's no rice or anything under that, it's literally some frozen peas and tinned aduki beans with a little splodge of curry-ish type gunk on it) and cost £16. I know that's not massively expensive but you would at least expect an actual meal... I've had better food on cheap flights.
Nice hotel, but the staff there are the stars of the hotel. Super friendly and helpful. Made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend for anyone travelling in Glasgow. Very happy couple from Iceland
Hotel was perfect for our short stay, great location, comfortable and friendly with an overall feeling of a stylish and really well designed hotel both in the rooms and in the living areas. Don't be put off by the "Tech" side of things very simple and user friendly and in fact a bit of the feature. Very friendly.
