Booked here because of ideal location on the platform of central station. Not cheap at £179 for a standard room for 1 person for 1 night though, so service levels let them down badly. On arrival 2 of about 6 reception desks were manned, and had long queues, no alternative but to join. 3 other members of staff appeared, falsely...

I stayed for one night for a business trip. I visit Glasgow 3 or 4 times a month but have never stayed here as our company has a PSL which this hotel isn't on due to price; however there was an offer on and the usual places were fully booked due to Celtic playing Barcelona at home. The staff are...

Very poor for those on a vegan diet. The kitchen staff do not know what a vegan diet is. I was served honey parsip soup and told it was suitable for vegans and had to specifically ask for another option rather than a very basic salad. Very poor considering many restaurants in Glasgow cater very well indeed for vegans

The exterior of the building and its many large function rooms certainly justify the "Grand" title. We stayed in a superior room and found it to be much smaller than we expected. Looking at our booking form should have given us a clue - "please note that superior room does not have space for cot". Rooms have been refurbished tastefully...

Returned from the Grand Central Hotel after a weekend stay in a junior suite at this hotel to be honest this room was ok apart from paint coming off the wall and the drawer where they store the kettle and coffee once pulled out was filthy and had not been cleaned for a long time. Our last stay was in a...

Stayed on 27th November for a shopping trip. We went to leave our bags there early and head out for the day but the receptionist checked us in early which was great. Rooms are big and clean ours had a view into central station itself. Their champagne bar is always fabulous and is a great start to your night! Unfortunately...

Reminiscent of a grand colonial past, and situated over the Glasgow grand central train station, this is one for your bucket list. Beautiful interiors, rooms have been tastefully renovated and keeping with its history and grandeur. Huge corridors and large rooms. Toiletries are from the white company. Staff are nice too. Highly recommended.

Visited this hotel for a conference dinner Central location next to the Glasgow central train station with good pedestrian, bus, train and taxi access The building is grand, fair sized with comfortable regal looking décor inside. There are numerous function rooms, some of which we used for our conference dinner, and it appears to be a very popular hotel. The...

Very central (as the name suggests) in city centre. Short walk to everywhere. Staff welcoming, nice lobby and clean, modern rooms. Parking / drop off is an issue so if you have a car, it isn't ideal in that respect. Nevertheless, it's quirky a hotel worth visiting when in Glasgow.
