Dining at Hotel du Vin in Glasgow was an absolute delight. The ambiance of the place struck the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for an informal meal. The highlight of the evening was the service provided by our waitress, Oksy, whose warm and attentive approach made us feel right at home. The drinks were expertly mixed, complementing the flavors of the meal. It was a memorable experience that combined great food, fab drinks, and first class service.

Hotel du Vin Glasgow is a magnificent hotel. I can't say enough good things about it. We were upgraded to an enormous suite with a lovely big bathtub, huge seating area and king size bed. It was such a comfy place to stay for three nights. The food at the hotel is delicious; from the breakfast (huge selection) to the dinner. We dined at the restaurant one night and highly recommend it. The food there was high-quality; fine dining without being pretentious. There's also a cosy little bar where you can hang out for lunch or a drink before dinner. Hotel du Vin is a marvelous option if you want to stay in a lovely Glasgow neighborhood. This hotel is not in the city center, and that's exactly what we liked about it. It's on the fashionable West End Hyndland neighborhood, about a 15 minute walk from the Botanic Gardens, the University of Glasgow, and a neighborhood business district full of cafes, bookstores, pubs and restaurants. On that business strip (Byers Rd.) is a subway stop that takes you to the city center in about 15 minutes. It's fun to stroll through the picturesque neighborhood, look at the lovely townhouses and count all the Porsches and Aston Martins parked right on the street. Finally, the hotel Wifi is strong, the service is friendly and attentive, and cozy fireplaces flicker in the common rooms. If you need quiet, ask for a hotel facing the back because the front of the hotel isn't far from a busy road. Love this hotel!

Wow. Stayed one night. Beautiful, period hotel with oodles of charm and old world elegance. Room was huge with lovely cast iron deep bath. The reception rooms are so ornate. Lovely carved panels and plaster reliefs. Simply adored this hotel!

Popped into the bar on a Friday afternoon and couldn’t fault it at all. Was planning on having one drink & we ended up staying for hours and splitting a sandwich because the atmosphere was so relaxing. Oksy never misses a thing and constantly attends to guests, definitely a must visit if you’re in the west end!

I came here for dinner with some friends and the server/waiter Liam was so helpful and cheery, a great asset to the hotel. I overheard him speaking German to a couple, thoroughly impressed! I had the Monkfish for my dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Great experience overall, would definitely recommend! :)

Very stylish hotel and we’d definitely return as the overall experience was very good. However, there were a few niggles: 1 - car parking availability isn’t the best (though I appreciate not much can be done about this) 2 - our room (vettriano suite) was very hot, even though we turned off the radiators and put on the (noisy) fan. We were also surprised to find a cheap disposable razor in the bathroom - we weren’t sure whether this was an odd complimentary item, or had been left by a previous guest and overlooked by housekeeping. And I’d personally have preferred a room that didn’t have its bathroom down a flight of twisting stairs. 3 - like many hotels, impossible to buy a hot breakfast without paying for the continental breakfast too (whether you want it or not). My standard hot breakfast arrived without the advertised tomato, but the breakfast staff were elusive (despite the place being really quiet) so I was unable to ask about this. For the same reason, I was unable to ask for a second cup of coffee. These were relatively minor niggles, and overall we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for the first time at One Devonshire Gardens last night and were not disappointed. The hotel is stunning and full of traditional period features, whilst being in excellent order with modern touches where required. The corridors and lounge are lavishly decorated and staircases have amazing stained glass windows. Our room (deluxe) was huge and airy with high ceilings and a fantastic bay window. It was lovely having antique feel furniture, a full sofa and other features which created a high quality homely feel. The bed was very comfortable and we liked having both a coffee machine and kettle/selection of herbal teas. Lindt chocolates were also a nice touch! The bathroom was marble with both a walk in rainfall shower and sunken enamel bath - again, l’occitane toiletries led to a luxury feel. We would recommend using the small garden area behind reception to sit in for drinks if it’s a bright day - we had a pleasant Sunday afternoon there!
