Pleasant hotel a little out of town which means its a lot quieter but still convenient for art galleries etc Hotel a bit dark inside and needs a bit of refurbishment in places but staff very friendly with excellent rooms and food would happily stay there again

I would like to thank the staff at Devonshire Gardens for making our visit this weekend so pleasurable that we cannot wait to return. It is such a beautiful hotel, the area, setting and the building itself and deserves to be treated with so much respect, which it was. The tasting menu with the accompanying wine was superb. When you...

In my opinion felt it fell short of its 5 star rating. Its a charming hotel in converted town houses and has so much more potential, but I felt as though I was staying in a Hilton or Marriott vs. the boutique hotel it wants to be at that rate. Some of the staff was exemplary, others just off the...

Thank you for taking the time to post your recent review. Thank your for your balanced review of your stay with us and I am very sorry that in some aspects we fell short of your expectations and our own standards. Your very reasonable concerns were subsequently passed to the management team and are being addressed, however I accept that...

I have previously reviewed One Devonshire Gardens before and we decided to treat ourselves for our Anniversary and return. One Devonshire Gardens is actually 5 old sandstone houses combined to make a beautiful and luxurious hotel with quirky rooms and corridors. The staff here are absolutely top notch from front of house to the staff at breakfast they are wonderful....

First of all, a fantastic hotel, the problem was the heat, you can have a fan no problem but they only have a certain amount of portable AC units. Not a massive problem but when you are spending the thick end of £200 a night you don't expect to be sweaty. They did show us a room on the floor...

We stayed overnight on their Sunday night deal - spend over a certain amount in the bistro and get the room for £25. We were able to park right outside the front door and were welcomed at reception with a glass of whisky, a good start! Our room was lovely, our bathroom could open out into the bedroom allowing one...

This is my 2nd experience of a du Vin hotel and I loved it! The location is about a 10-15 minute taxi ride away from the city centre which may not be ideal for everyone but we thought it was beautiful. We stayed in the Graham Beck room and all we could see out the 2 windows were beautiful trees...

Stayed mid June during a very warm & humid weekend in Glasgow. Nice hotel, fantastic interior and set in a nice part of Glasgow. Big negative was lack of a/c. Did ask the reasons why and was told that as the building was listed no a/c could be installed. Perhaps this is the case, however I can't help but wonder...

Stayed in Glasgow. Had a car hire, so can't comment on walk ability of hotel location. Hotel staff exceptionable. Common rooms lovely. Our first room up three flights was spacious, but a bit on the warm side (heat wave of 19c) second room lovely, cool and a fantastic bathroom with a shower I'd like to add to my luggage.
