We came to the Glasgow Marriott as part of the Nathan Carter music weekend. We attend many of these and this is by far the best hotel that’s hosted it. The hotel was lovely and clean our room was perfect. The reception staff and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Although they were very busy the bar staff are wonderful and friendly they really made our break. Special shout out to Zoe, Niamh and Greg. Thanks everyone you work so hard and it’s much appreciated.
The staff were attentive on arrival and throughout our stay. The gave directions for sight seeing and local amenities. Breakfast was worth the money. And we had room sevice on a couple of ocassions... delicious. The pool and sauna was brilliant. Overall a fantastic trip. We will be back!!!!
We travel to Glasgow every year for the Celtic Connections Festival and the Marriott is usually our first choice. We stayed for 3 nights. Check in was a bit strange. The receptionist was efficient but not particularly friendly. She seemed more intent on getting us to prove our identity than welcoming us to the hotel. As regular users of Marriott hotels we have never been asked for photo ID before. There was also a country music event on at the hotel and it was very busy. I feel it would have been appropriate to have been advised of this when booking. Room was nice with large bed and very clean. The staff in the bar were all pleasant and helpful despite how busy it was. The lady servicing the room was lovely, didn't catch her name but she said she was Ukranian. Overall would stay again, but will have to remember to take our passport for checking in …
I would not ho to this hotel. i Stopped here to have a drink and some food whilst waiting to pick my brother up from the airport before a family funeral. I didn't notice any signs to pay for parking and would have done elsewhere, or paid if i had. 3 weeks later a £60 fine. Stay well clear
Had a really lovely stay at the Marriott. I was concerned after reading some negative reviews that the hotel would be very tired and although we did see some wear in carpets and in the furniture in the bedroom we were really happy with everything! Excellent staff beginning at reception, concierge, house keeping, Cast Iron breakfast and dinner staff, bar staff, house keeping and leisure staff were all helpful, friendly and professional. Had one of the nicest breakfasts in a hotel at the Marriott, excellent choice and quality.
Despite being in the centre of Glasgow, the hotel is reasonably easy to navigate to. Spacious car park available. Reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had all necessary amenities. Dinner in the hotel was excellent. Happy to recommend for a function or for just staying overnight in the city.
Excellent location for business and airport transfer. Clean rooms, nice staff and a decent bar. Parking is fine, which can be an issue in most central hotels. I will be returning and recommending to friends and family
We are just back from a stay here as a family with two young kids. It's a nice enough hotel but needs a bit of TLC. The lobby etc is nice but the rooms need a bit of updating as does the pool area. The changing rooms were really cold and the pool wasn't much warmer either. The poolside area needs a bit of TLC too. The restaurant was closed when we stayed with it being the new year. We didn't actually know that until we got there, so it would've been good to know that before. All in all it was a good enough stay. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the room was nice and clean too. Good location. I'd stay here again.
Hogmanay Ball and overnight stay review. Location - excellent! 5 min walk and you’re in the centre of town. Adequate parking available and space to comfortably park too. Room is tired and in major need of a redesign. Something was up with hearing, air conditioning didn’t work and even with the window open fully the room was boiling. Didn’t get a great sleep as a result. Decent price for Hogmanay ball, lots of welcome drinks on offer, great photo opportunities, meal was prompt and really tasty. The ceilidh dancing went on way to long, it killed the vibe at points but DJ was great
Excellent position if you want to be near to the airport but still want to walk to Glasgow’s shops and restaurants Bedrooms seem a little tired and in need of an upgrade although one of our sons stayed in a suite and thought it was great. Our two other bedrooms both had faulty air conditioning!! Friendly staff and a special mention for the breakfast supervisor and kitchen staff who insisted on cooking my wife’s breakfast from scratch as she is Coeliac and they didn’t want any chance of cross contamination - very few hotels are this considerate.
