As per other reviews this hotel is hidden on 6th floor of an old building on union street. As a building it doesn't seem that well maintained, the ground floor entrance is not great and the lifts smell like a Chinese restaurant. You step out of the lift into the main communal stairwell which also smells a bit damp. Once...

We happened across this hotel after deciding to stay a few extra days in Glasgow. As other have mentioned, it is just beside Central Station and the street is grubby outside the hotel. However the hotel is very clean and the cupcakes, cake, cookies, and homemade ice cream were a welcome treat. The rooms are modern, clean, and we found...

This is a boutique hotel occupying the sixth floor of a rather grungy building in the bustling middle of Glasgow right by Central Station. From the outside it looks like nothing – just a quite narrow doorway giving on to this gritty, noisy, busy street. Either there is an attendant inside on the ground floor or you can access it...

This was our second visit to this hotel and once again it proved to be great value for money, and in a great location. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Don't miss out on the free cupcakes and ice cream! And especially, don't miss out on the terrific breakfast. The 'kitchen' may be small, but that doesn't stop...

We only stayed for two nights due to our european trip but we are glad that we did. It was a magnificent stay. When we arrived our room was not ready (we were early) but the front desk client was more than kind and offered us something to eat and coffee and ofcourse when you arrive don't forget to taste...

Beautiful contemporary hotel. Spotless, light, airy and fresh. When you arrive, you might think what?! But when you step out of the lift on the 6th floor...what an oasis! Speedy check-in, gorgeous room (mine overlooked central stations glass roof), sweet treats (including homemade ice-cream) dotted along the corridor and in the lounge. Breakfast is superb with excellent options and the...

My friend and I stayed at Grasshoppers for one night recently and were absolutely delighted with our experience. We arrived in Glasgow around noon and went to the hotel in the hopes of being able to leave our bags before being able to check in at 2:00. The receptionist said the room would be ready for us within 20 minutes...

Tucked upstairs on Union Street in downtown Glasgow is a perfect hotel! With just enough room to be comfy and lively homey touches: homemade ice cream and cookies! Dinner available family style for a reasonable price. Breakfast was good as well and included. Plus everyone was so helpful! Such a find!

The hotel was booked as a surprise weekend for my husband. Rooms are on the 6th floor of the building which overlooks Union Street on one side and the Central Station on the other side. Our room overlooked the street side and was surprisingly quiet considering. The official three star rating doesn't do this hotel justice. The en suite shower...

What a find this was. Hidden above the Grand Central Station, Grasshoppers is a boutique style hotel with history and character. Newly done, the rooms and public areas are spotless and spacious. We had a great night sleep in a comfy bed, our room looked straight over the glass roof of the station. Loads of little extras included Sky TV...
