Reading through the reviews, we arrived with big expectancies. When arriving to the address and parking in the street next to a highway junction we got a bit worried about the noise, but entering the house the complete silence was reassuring. The building and the enterieur very nice, the host is welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was perfect. Half mile... More

Thank you for your review, the good and the not so good bits. In Scotland you will find very few guest houses with air conditioning, it is not usually necessary! this heatwave is an exception. The shower as you could see the night before is working, the on dial requires pushed in before turning, there was plenty of water available.... More

We were planning a quick 4 day trip in Scotland and had booked tickets to go to Bruce Springsteen that night. Glasgow is not a huge city so we wanted a place in an area with the large older English style homes. Manor Park was exactly what we where looking for. The place is well laid out for a guest... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. Everything about the guest house was enjoyable. We were even accommodated with a trayed breakfast when we had an early train out of town our last day. Although there is a major road nearby, we heard nothing. Scott and Fiona were just so warm and welcoming. I would stay here again... More

Located right across (via underpass) from Victoria Park, in Glasgow's residential/trendy West End, this very special heritage property, that relatively new owners have kept up and appointed to the max, has a real nurturing quality about it. A combination of classic furniture and draperies, well-planned lighting, and original art dress the common areas as well my own large, beautiful room:... More

Our first stay here, really nice place to stay, easy parking at the curb, lots of advise and maps from the hosts. Lovely breakfast, welcoming atmosphere. Excellent advise on places to eat, sight seeing in Glasgow and shopping.

I stay in Glasgow regularly and this was my first stay at the Manor Park. Fiona, Scott and the other other two people working there whom I met were all really friendly and helpful. So say say goodbye to the chain hotels and stay here instead! It's a gracious but distinctively Glaswegian house and the lovely Scottish landscape paintings in... More

Had a lovely 2 nights here, bedroom etc lovely and comfortable. The owners could not have been nicer and friendly, nothing was too much bother for them. Had a lovely breakfast both mornings, freshly cooked to order. It was our first visit here and will not be our last.

Charming old house, very welcoming and friendly hosts, excellent service, comfortable room, good breakfast, handy free parking, good location to West End and university (with car; walking ok, too, if you are a "walker").
