Ok the positives - excellent location, friendly staff and nice breakfast - cooked, cereal, bread, yogurt, cheese and fruit! The room was tiny and dated - £100 a night for this room is disappointing! I guess you can do this though when Commonwealth Games are on! Reading other reviews I suspect you could get this room at other times for...

We stayed here in a family room for 3nights during the commonwealth games. Yes it was expensive for what it is but it was the games. The normal prices make it an excellent hotel for the cost. The family room and bathroom were big with plenary of space for us all. Be warned though on the 3rd floor and no...

We needed somewhere to stay last minute as were going to the commonwealth games. This hotel is basic, but clean and functional providing all that we wanted as we just wanted somewhere to sleep and have a shower in the morning. Parking was an issue - it is limited to a handful of spaces and despite receiving 2 emails confirming...

The hotel was Clean, fresh with a large bedroom. excellent staff. Definitely worth a stay. A short taxi ride to the city centre costing no more than £7. With so much to see and do. I will definitely be returning.

The apartment attached to the hotel is very, very disappointing in spite of all the good very misleading reviews. The decor is very dated with heavy staining on the lounge rug and sofas. The kitchen equipment is poor with no dishwasher or washing machine. The washing up brush bristles faced every way except the correct one it was so old. The...

The Kevin Hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The staff and management were more than accommodating with our circumstances and really helped our visit be a memorable one. The features of the hotel provide it with extra character. The price of the rooms, the handy location and the quality of service given were all excellent.

You have to share bathrooms when living on this hotel. No information about that in the booking details. It just says its a standardroom. Nice breakfast, with full english breakfast. Very noisy from the traffic and cold rooms. Nice hostess.

Nice hotel walking distance to botanic gardens and west end sights. Friendly. Good breakfast with nice selection. Quiet, clean room. Parking is very small lot but worth extra money as street parking hard to find.

I was a regular customer of the Kelvin Hotel until I booked a room for the nights of 1st. and 2nd. March 2014. I telephoned the day before to give my arrival time, but hotel manager Sandra could find no record of my booking and told me that I could not be accommodated. After some considerable trouble I found a...

We spent two nights in a twin room at the Kelvin hotel. I think we got allocated a bigger room than we reserved (two double beds instead of two single) which was excellent. The location (Glasgow's West-End) is spot on and the double Georgian house is a really nice surrounding. It does have a budget hotel characteristic but in a...
