Not worth £90 for a night stay.... yes situated right in the centre but big let down. Damp smell in first room and second wasn't much better. Couldn't swing a cat in bathroom and bed was the worst sleep ever. Would rather pay little bit more for a more home from home stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and nicely appointed rooms. Generous continental breakfast. Excellent central location for a quick overnight or tourist stop. Only quibble is the soft/collapsed mattress on the bed.

This is a city centre hotel, with lots of clubs / bars / restaurants very close. The rooms are warm and clean, the staff friendly, breakfast is OK There is NCP car park 5 min walk away - convenient if you have a car.The hotel gives you a special card that discounts the overnight rate from £20 down to £8....

Heritage building, value, clean, lashings of hot water, friendly staff. Very well located. It does not have all the frills and room a little small but who cares on a City break. What not to like? Visited about 6 times and there are steady improvements

Stayed at The Merchant City Inn at the end of February 2017. The first thing I should say is that when we mentioned to anyone local where we were staying it got quite the reaction! Anyway we chose to ignore that and checked in anyway..... The first night was really not a good experience. The room, while large was right...

Stayed here for a weekend break. The location is brilliant, just few minutes walk from all the main sights. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good and clean and double glazing meant for a quiet night. Bed very comfortable but a bit creaky! Had continental breakfast which was fine.

Eight of us rented four rooms for one night... none of the rooms were on the same floor, one room was infested with silverdogs 🤢, one room had a leaking heater in the bathroom, the rooms on the top floor, which by the way were in another building, had a leaking roof... No lift, no restaurant, what on earth makes...

Stayed here last night for a night in Glasgow. It's a nice little hotel, very central. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic and very clean. The bathroom was also clean but the shower was small and even though the water pressure was good it was only just warm enough for a very quick shower. Also no...

Excellent location, super friendly staff, spacious room on ground floor, spotlessly clean, quirky non chain building, walk out the door and you are in the city centre with all sights, bars, restaurants, shops literally on the doorstep. Breakfast was early but that suits us and it was fine .All of this and an outstanding price for two people. Will be back!😀

Staff are very friendly and helpful lovely welcome at reception. The room was cosy and clean. Had a room on the main street and although you could hear some music from the nearby club it wasn't enough to disrupt or stop us sleeping. Breakfast was nice went for the continental. Will use this hotel again.
