A quick flying trip and just for one night. Opted for a slightly better room and it was huge. It needed a little bit of TLC here and there but I liked it and it made a nice change to the generic hotels I often stay in for work. Great free WiFi, and off street parking with CCTV for £5 extra per night. The price was incredibly good value, and the hotel is covid awarded and has the reception set up well for this, I was also told they are leaving room 24hours between guests. A little road noise through the sash windows, but to be expected. We near near lots of restaurants, bar and coffee shops.
One of the best places I have stayed, friendly staff so helpful and the owner is really helpful, kind and down too earth. Ladies are so very kind and helpful, would highly recommend this too anyone visiting Glasgow. Very very clean amazing place.
A hotel in a terrace in the wetern end of the City Centre. A short walk from the underground. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the room itself was also clean. A good nights sleep and a clean bathroom. Add in a good breakfast, served promptly and well cooked. Pound for pound, as good a value hotel as any other i have stayed in when in Glasgow. Friendly staff too. A pleasure to visit
A clean, tidy, friendly, hotel with a handy location for things to do in a student quarter & on major bus routes into town 50 yds away or underground station 200yds away & excellent value compared to other hotels in the area
Overnight visit with Daughter as she had an early start the next day for an Interview at the University. The price paid includes full breakfast so this is really great value. This is an old building but full of charm and character. The on-suite room was clean and well prepared. The twin room actually contained 2 double beds so was a good size room with plenty of storage. Slept OK, but like other comments posted the mattresses could be of better quality, at this price/value I have no complaints there. Phoned the hotel as I made the booking to check availability of a 'twin room' as travelling with my Daughter. All communication with hotel and reception was always friendly and welcome and Cathy made sure we settled in OK and on duty til 11pm at night and was happily cooking and serving breakfast the next morning. Overall, this felt like a very personal and friendly hotel with good local staff. Able to park in Hotel's car park at the rear of the hotel for a very reasonable £5 and was able to leave my car for the next day while attending the University. Great location for the University, easy to get to city centre via Bus or local underground system. Good selection of bars and restaurants in immediate location. Great to have the Botanic Gardens over the road.…
