Just spent 5 days in this sumptuous place. Perfectly situated for art, history and food lovers. The hotel is peaceful, well run and spotlessly clean. The choice at breakfast could not be faulted. Everything was fresh, well-cooked and often organic. Parking is easy and cheap, although we didn't need to use our car once. Emma and Steve are serious in...

Having stayed at The Alamo on a number of occasions with my family, I had no hesitation in booking again when my brother wanted to visit and explore Glasgow. Set just opposite the Kelvingrove Museum it is a peaceful haven, carefully restored by its owners. Lovely atmosphere and great breakfasts.

Stayed two nights while visiting a friend. Absolutely the right balance between warm welcome and leaving us independent. Breakfast one of the best I have had. Selection and personalized choice couldn't be bettered.

Guest house is in a great location near to all the bars and restaurants for this part of Glasgow but down a quiet road. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, large and well decorated. The breakfast was excellent. The house as a hole is beautiful. My one negative would be, on the booking page...

My husband and I stayed here for four nights recently and found it was a perfect home base. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and they gave us great recommendations for food and activities. The room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the park (which was great for running!) and house was beautiful. In addition, they were...

We had stayed here before, so expectations were high. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms (no 10), which is large with the most comfortable bed ever. It's also quiet. The location of this guesthouse is perfect for visiting Glasgow as it is within walking distance of many attractions. The breakfast can see you through the rest of...

We were in Glasgow to visit our son who is studying at the University of Glasgow. The Alamo Guest House was lovely -- well situated, comfortable, quiet with lovely, very helpful staff. Breakfast included options were broad and include an assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and eggs/potatoes, etc. to order! We would stay there again without hesitation!

Glasgows best restaurants within 1 - 10 min walk. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The place has a beautiful feel about it - and great value for money. Highly...

This beautiful bed and breakfast was located on a huge park with great walks and easy access to all the sights. Our room was huge and had been modernized very recently. I wasn't fond of the automatic lights in the bathroom area, which switched on as you approached the toilet and shower. If you like a rainforest-style shower, which rains...
