Stayed here for 2 nights on our NC500 roadtrip. Sea view Lodge was amazing, tastefully decorated and very well equipped in every way. Only downside was as a resort it lacked atmosphere with shops being mainly closed and tourist experiences not starting up until May. The storehouse didn't have groceries as advertised so plan ahead. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing as...

Really enjoyed our week at Natural Retreats John O'Groats. Stayed in a beautifully appointed 3 bed sea view lodge which did have amazing views over the Pentland Firth to Stroma all be it with a lodge in front over to the right. Guests should be aware that there are only about 2 out of the 20+ lodges that have a...

We had a brilliant stay at Natural Retreats - the lodge was just perfect. Beautifully presented and everything we needed as a family of 5. We went over to Orkney on a day trip and cycled around the area. We didn't want to go out in the evenings - the accommodation was too lovely!!

We booked an overnight stay in a 1 bedroom apartment at natural retreats in March. It was absolutely perfect. It was beautifully and comfortably furnished with all appliances you could need . Thoughtful touches were evident - the welcome hamper including bread, scones and wine, milk in the fridge and washing tablets for the washing machine. Self catering was ideal...

Beautiful location, I chose the Penthouse which was very quiet but found the layout very awkward with toilet/shower room downstairs, bedroom upstairs (accessed by small spiral staircase - be careful when walking on stairs with socks on, very slippy). Wardrobe / dressing room also downstairs so no facility in the bedroom to store any clothes. However, the bath in the...

Good destination, better quality shops and eating places.Very busy so our opinion shared by others. Spectacular views over to Stroma and the Orkneys. Good to see loads of camper vans again in the area ,...

This is our third family visit to the JOG lodges. The view of Stroma from number 22 is outstanding in all weathers. My parents spent a few nights with us and the NR people couldn't be more helpful with changing bed linen/towels etc. Very friendly people and lots to do. Recommend Whaligoe Steps and cafe, Dunnet Head (visit distillery on...

Clean, classy and well appointed. Excellent Wi-Fi is plus as the phone cover is non existent. Included in the price is a very good TV game entertainment, as well as apple tv , to while away those rainy moments.

Studio room was warm as toast and so well stocked. Lovely refreshments on arrival and made us very comfortable. Amazing views out to the stormy spectacular Pentland Firth and Stroma. The views are better than watching TV!

Absolutely first class, I have been around and this place takes some beating. The location was stunning. The accommodation was very comfortable. The staff were there to welcome us and even arranged to let us in early. Couldn't be more helpful.
