This hotel is exceptional and not what It appears from the outside. From the moment we arrived the reception staff were most welcoming. We ate in the restaurant and the food was of a high quality but the thing that stood out most was the politeness of the waiting staff. Never have I been anywhere where the young waiters and waitresses have been so polite and accommodating. Breakfast was the same experience with nothing too much trouble. The rooms although basic are clean and spacious and the bathroom a good size. We shall definitely return when in the area and highly recommend.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as a stopover while doing the NC500 route. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious and equipped with everything you would need. After a long drive we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner and the food was so good we went back the next night too. It's conveniently located if you want to take a short walk into Thurso town centre or the beach (15 mins max) and a short drive for the tourist sites in the area. There isn't much going on in Thurso itself but if you are just stopping over then this is a great choice of hotel at a reasonable price.

This is a great hotel in a good location with plenty of free parking. Checkin was seamless with a lovely receptionist. The whole hotel is tastefully decorated with beautiful soft shades and tasteful checked carpeting. Our room wa# immaculate, clean and big comfortable bed. Food was good and breakfast perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay. Good value for money.

From arrival all was great, big car park and fast friendly check in. Great decoration and attention to detail on pictures and trims. Big bed, nice sized room and bathroom all clean. Fantastic hand and shower gel, smells great. Big towels and great nights sleep. We had dinner and breakfast, both where spot on. This is a fantastic hotel with great staff and I would highly recommend. Tesco opposite with petrol as well if your doing NC 500.

We stayed for the night on our NC500 trip, the hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate. For the cost and in comparison to some others we stayed at on the same trip, you can’t go wrong with this one. The only complaint I have is about one part of the evening meal we had, the chicken and black pudding starter was awful asking the chicken was like rubber! But if that’s my only complaint there’s nothing to worry about. Definitely good value for what we paid.
