We appreciated the lovely large room, warm and friendly welcome, the staff's interest in our stay and help with our search for the aurora borealis. Breakfast was fresh cooked, and generous, served with a smile and attention to detail. Would stay again if we're back that way; will recommend to others. All the staff, and the dogs, were happy to...

Lisa was a great host, and had several good suggestions for dinner restaurants. Breakfast was very good, and prompt. If you are not a dog person (or have allergies), you may be overwhelmed by the dogs like I was. I stayed here near the end of September, and the weather was chilly and rainy. The laundry cost was rather high,...

Thank you very much for taking the time to give us a review. You have highlighted the need to clarify our information pack with respect to our laundry charges, which we will do. We charge £10 for a full load of washing, which includes drying and ironing. This is to cover our costs. For a small number of items that...

I am writing to you, dear reader, happily ensconced in the Cairnmore room on the ground floor of Pentland Lodge House. Once again this was a completely last minute booking, choosing to add a visit to Orkney to our little Scottish adventure. I hurriedly made our ferry and hotel bookings from the ferry port in northern Skye (without an internet...

Very welcoming and extremely helpful staff especially Lisa. Large well decorated rooms coupled with excellent breakfasts using local produce or sourced from local shops make this b&b a great place to stay in the far north.

Well worth the long trip. The rooms are huge with amazing showers. Plenty of extra bedding if needed but we didn't need to use them as the central heating was enough. You didn't even realise how cold it was outside. There is also plenty of information of where to visit and eat. Lisa was an amazing host and cooked an...

Our room on the top floor was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. The staff were most friendly and helpful and helped us to find our way around Thurso and the local places of interest. Breakfasts were yummy and set us up for a busy day's sight-seeing. We would happily stay there again.
