On the whole this hotel was ok. Nothing really bad, although beds were a bit uncomfortable. A bit expensive for what you get but then all accommodation in Inverness seems to be quite pricey. Dinner was good and breakfast very good, even although they forgot the toast. Service at breakfast could be improved.

This was a pleasant hotel to stay. Because of luggage we used a taxi to and from the railway station. However it was an easy flat walk back into town - about 3/4 mile. Ross was very helpful and seemed to be a 'jack of all trades' as he was at reception, at the bar and breakfast server. Bar meals...

On the "pro" side, the staff at this hotel were largely very friendly and helpful, but with one exception. The young man who served us at supper, and at breakfast the next day, was polite but very brusk and almost appeared irritated that he had to serve us. At breakfast, as we were the last out of the room, he...

A very nice hotel with good amenities. Good bar and food and excellent staff. Ross is a real asset to the hotel. Because of luggage we had to catch a taxi to/from the station, which Ross handled (to the station). A flat walk to the centre of town and about a half mile. Easy stroll.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chieftain Hotel. The location is great and the staff, Liz, Ross and Chelsea, made our stay extra special! The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. A full Scottish breakfast was served and it was very good. It is within walking distance to the downtown area and great shopping and restaurants....

For the money charged, I think the whole hotel needs freshening up, especially the bathroom and the roof of the conservatory. Very friendly staff when they were there. Excellent waiter at breakfast, with a good memory, who seemed to do everything including fill- in chef. Plenty of good food at breakfast. However it is September and after a busy summer...
