our experience was so different from the previous reviewer, the house and the hospitality was second to none. we would go back again and spend longer than the one night we stayed this time if we visit the area again.

I'm pleased to say that our experience was completely different to the previous reviewer. The hotel looks like a little castle with turrets and looks over the estuary. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and definitely not shabby in any way. The restaurant was elegant and the food lived up to the 'fine dining' label. As we had let...

We were terribly disappointed with this " luxury" hotel which, in our opinion, seems to be trading on history to a large extent. I swithered between a 2 and 3 rating but our room was so shabby that it was beyond disappointing that I've rated the whole experience accordingly. The hotel is situated a few miles outside Inverness. We had...

On tour of Scotland, my wife and I parked late one afternoon on the banks of Loch Ness and flicked through a tourist book to find lodgings for the night. Celebrating our 60th birthdays we looked for hotel that was a little more expensive than we'd been used to. Bunchrew House Hotel was offering a special deal and, when we...

the hotel is situated right on the waters edge which is lovely. the building looks like a fairytail castle on the outside. the reception and lounge area are as you would expect in a country house hotel, dark wood open fire and atmospheric. the bar had rather strange curtains that didnt seem to fit the situation. the lighting was very...

A trip to Inverness before Christmas to catch up with friends, we decided to lunch at Bunchrew House Hotel. We were warmly met and shown through to the cosy wood panelled sitting room complete with roaring log fire. We chatted as we browsed the menu's with a glass of champagne, well it was Christmas! The lunch menu was fairly limited,...

We had a wonderful stay thank you. Simply perfect. Ths staff are so welcoming with nothing being too much trouble. The food is first class. The hotel is a lovely cosy haven in the heart of winter. Our second visit and we will be back.

Highly recommend this hotel. Everything about it was superb - staff, dinner, breakfast, location, the Christmas decorations, the open fire, the surfeit and variety of newspapers available. (One TINY gripe - I would have preferred better quality pillows.)

My wife and I enjoyed a great stay at this lovely hotel on the water. Friendly & helpful staff, ok restaurant and food. Really enjoyed the drawing room with nice big log fireplace for a drink and relaxation. Nice, biff bed and our suite had a gas fireplace which was really cozy! Even though we slept in and missed breakfast,...

We stayed for a night in one of the less expensive rooms. It was clean and comfortable but could use a little spruce up. The common areas are very well decorated and the grounds and gardens are lovely (even in October). We had a couple of drinks in the bar, which was very nice. Breakfast in the dining room was...
