Guests have lauded AC Hotel Inverness for its prime location, close to various attractions and offering scenic river views. The hotel's atmosphere is frequently described as clean and modern, with spacious rooms, although some guests find the ambiance lacking and the beds too soft. While the cleanliness is regularly praised, opinions on value diverge, with several guests feeling the costs don't align with the provided services and amenities. The service is generally recognized for its friendliness, but reports of inconsistency suggest room for improvement.

Arrived quite late from long flight but reception was excellent, welcoming and polite. Hotel felt warm and smelled of tasty food. We had a drink at the bar and met Alex who was a fine Ambassador for the hotel but also for his in depth knowledge of the local Scottish whisky's, very enlightening! Our room on the 4th floor overlooked the rive and was small and compact but had everything we needed. The bed was really comforting and had amazing cotton sheets so we slept great with no noises outside to disturb us. The lounge are in the hotel are spread out well allowing discretion and privacy to talk. The outside areas are all prepped for the summer months over the river and will the perfect setting for sundowners. Information: its £25 in taxi from airport and a Stagecoach bus approx. £6 each (bus station 5 mins walk) drops you right in the Terminal. Check out was efficient, polite and informative from James and we look forward to returning here soon.

The hotel only opened in October 2022 so it is modern and new. We stayed for 1 night in April at the start of our NC500 trip and again for 1 night early May at the end of our trip. The rooms are modern, minimalistic and clean, perfect for an overnight stay. In April we had an apex style room with a slanted ceiling which was lovely but not suitable when travelling with someone who is over 6 foot but on return we were allocated a different room type which got the 👍🏻. Parking is onsite in an open car park which costs £10 which is reasonable. Breakfast is served in the lounge which overlooks the river and there is a great selection as well as eggs cooked to order. The staff at all times were friendly and accomodating. Thank you for a lovely stay, we really enjoyed being invited to the hotels official opening event.

We were heading to the Loch Ness Centre from Edinburgh, so the Hotel was easy to find as it was visible and close to the A9.
The hotel offers paid parking with quite a few spaces and just some 30 metres pass reception and a left turn. We stayed a Friday night, quite a few restaurants within walking distance along the River Ness, so no need to drive, but all the Restaurants with better than 4.0 reviews were booked out or closing around 9pm.
At the hotel, we were offered an upgrade to the top floor with an excellent River view. Holly was very helpful and friendly as we checked in. The room was very clean, and well insulated from noise. The in room tea and coffee setup included a Nexpresso Machine and half a dozen capsules, and that was nice.

The bathroom and shower was very good and bright. The room itself was quite compact, modern decor with "mood" lighting which was unfortunately was a bit dark for us seniors. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. There were plenty of power-outlets for charging devices.
The breakfast offerings have great choices of quality hot and cold food.
We really enjoyed our one night stay.

One of the BEST places to stay in Inverness!! We absolutely loved our stay here and would happily return. We were in Inverness for 3 nights in January after the New Year's Eve holiday. We honestly have nothing but great things to say about our experience so I'll mention a few highlights in case they're helpful:

Location
The hotel is beautifully located by a river and has great views of the water. It is also a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants & about a 10 minute walk to the train station.

Amenities
They have a lot of really helpful amenities: a gym, coffee station, and restaurant/bar. We were visiting in the winter after the holidays so many of the nearby coffee shops/ restaurants were closed for January or opened a little later in the morning at 9am. Since we were sight-seeing, we had a lot of early morning tours that started at 7am. This meant we didn't have many ways to get coffee or have breakfast in town before our tours, but the hotel did provide an early morning breakfast option and coffee station. The hotel's early morning breakfast and coffee station were wonderfully helpful and truly saved the day. We were very grateful that the hotel had so many extra amenities. The rooms were also very reasonably priced.

The Room
We had a standard room with a king bed and were very impressed by how well designed the room was. It was quite spacious with plenty of shelf space and hooks for winter coats and scarfs. It looked very chic and everything was new and very clean. Being a new hotel, the heat also worked perfectly so that made our stay during winter very comfortable and stress free. The bathroom was a nice size with generous amounts of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed was also very comfortable.

The Staff
Everyone was so nice! Truly everyone we met so was kind and welcoming. It helped to make our stay all the more special.

Overall
The hotel is very modern and beautiful with a great location minutes from restaurants, shops, and the train station. It is very reasonably priced with excellent amenities and a kind, thoughtful staff. Would highly recommend staying here if visiting Inverness.

Amazing AC Hotel by Martiott Inverness is highly recommended as it is very new, contemporary and centrally located along the beautiful river, within walking distance of several minutes to the town centre. The receptionists are efficient to check in group tours. Although my room overlooked the driveway, try asking for a room with a view facing the river instead. The Buffet breakfast offers a wide array of hot and cold dishes, and I thoroughly enjoyed my portion (5th one in 4 days at Scotland) of Haggis. Our pre-ordered 3 course dinner of pork terrine, Scottish salmon and Eton's mess at the hotel restaurant were delish, with friendly service. The modern room is spacious with a comfortable King bed and pillows. Room is in aesthetically pleasing decor and soothing colour tones. Shower stall is modern, although hot water takes time to heat up. You need to buy bottled water.

We stayed the night here as a date night. we live locally so like to use local amenities without having to travel too far so this hotel was Ideal.
It is located next to the river by Friars bridge. There was no road noise at all from our room.
We opted for a superior double room with a river view and were not disapointed. A third floor room overlooking the river, however spectacular vies beyond that are to be had.
The room was spectacularly luxurious. King size bed, massive TV fixed to the wall which you can also cast your device to if you wanted to watch your own Netflix or any other TV player. WiFi was more than adequate but you could upgrade to faster for a small charge. We didnt feel the need to do so. Coffee and tea facilities were also available including a Nespresso machine and 6 coffee pods.
We didnt eat here as we went to the Waterfront bar accross the river as friends had recommended it. However going through the restraunt area to the bar, the food looked delicius and the menu was plentyful.
The staff could not have been more friendly if they tried. Giving (other) guests local advive and directions. I found them very attentive but not overbearing at all.
Would definitley use this hotel again.

Lovely new hotel, check in was seamless, really helpful and answered my queries re dog friendly spaces within hotel.
Room was lovely and comfy with beautiful view over river, although room was very hot, temperature set at 21 degrees and could not adjust setting to lower temperature, kept reverting back to original temp. Thankfully we could open window but then the outside noise is an issue. Reported it to reception, but I understand with a new hotel there are snagging issues.
Restaurant is lovely, music a bit loud and not to my taste, menu very limited and no drinks menu however when I asked for a mocktail the barman was happy to oblige and it was delicious, thank you!
It’s great the hotel is dog friendly but no litter bins or poo bins to dispose of dog waste, I found one of the riverside. Definitely something the hotel need to rectify asap or other dog owners may not bother to pick up their dog mess.

Great new hotel in Inverness. The hotel is fresh, big and it feels like a proper city hotel in Inverness, which is different to some of the older Riverside hotels. Check in was smooth and the room was spotless, with the only exception was the bedside lamp was a little dusty.

The room has hard floors throughout which isn't a problem really, however I think if I was on one of the lower floors, it may be noisy. The view over the river was great and the shower was excellent. Room also had a fridge and a coffee machine that didn't leak (I have had previous with these coffee machines so delighted).

We did not eat at the restaurant however we did use the bar which is well stocked and reasonably priced for what is served. The bar staff are excellent but it did take a little while to get served.

Will definitely stay again.

This is a modern, clean hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The river views are a benefit of the rooms.

The beds are very comfortable, firm but not hard.

The only coffee in the room is instant coffee (which, happened at another Marriott on this UK trip, so maybe that’s a thing they do here) but that was the min disappointment with the room. They do have a machine that makes espresso in the down stairs breakfast area (during the breakfast times) so it really wasn’t that big of an issue. The breakfast was a diverse experience but not one I would be excited about (outside of the availability of espresso!).

The paid parking was full (on-site was a very small parking area) so the additional parking was about a 10-min walk down to the Rose Street paid parking garage ($8/24 hours). There is a driveway where you can unload your luggage at the hotel before parking the vehicle and hiking back.

Would return and recommend to family/friends.

I stayed at the AC Marriott Inverness three times on a trip to Scotland. Service was amazing and the room with a river view on the top floor was extremely comfortable with great wifi. Although next to Friar Bridge, the soundproofing was very effective and I heard nothing from outside my room. How I miss my daily view! I must give a special mention to Henrik. He was a true ambassador for this hotel. He was always friendly and helpful, professional and his mocktails were addictive!! I hope it will not be too long before my next visit!
