Stayed here some years ago when I used it as a base for day trips out to the islands, thought it was just fine. When I came to book it again with friends this time and read a couple of negative reviews I wondered if things had changed that drastically. Well they haven't, just the nature of a very few...

I stayed here with a group of friends when we did some activities around the area - including a climb of Ben Nevis - and we really liked it. It's basic, but all you need for a short stay, and if you're out all day doing activities, you will sleep well!

Worst experience, really bad customer service. I called them to inform we will be checking-in late but no answer, tried calling thrice then we turned up and hopefully there was a staff to take us to our dormitory but woke up next morning to find out only one out of 5 showers work and no light in bathroom as well...

Rooms were comfortable. Facilities were clean. Good sized kitchen and communal room. Good atmosphere in the evening, although this may change as the guests do. Enjoyed the shelf of board games in the common room. However there were only two toilets for all the rooms upstairs; one of which also had a shower in and so was often occupied or...

I kinda liked this place, yes they have set hours but you can work round that, there is a shop near by, buses are frequent, and the sound of the steam train passing through was lovely. A lovely walk to the Fort Williams. There is not much atmosphere here, but the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfy....

The rooms stink, the bathrooms are dirty and really not up to date. But what is the worst is that you really do not feel welcome as a guest. Owners are rude, mostly busy with their own rules and very unfriendly.

I'll start by saying that this was booked for me on behalf of others, so I had no idea if what to expect. I only met the staff once during my three day stay. This didn't bother me but may put off some people. The bedrooms were cold and the bedding minimal. It got warmer with more people, but I...

i hope that the owner gets the damp problem sorted as it makes the room smell repulsive ,especially when you have to put up with it all night . The place is in dire need of a revamp and I sincerely hope the place gets it . The owner only seems to have good intentions , but seems to have...

Stayed one night, October - one person in a double room. £32 and no breakfast (there are B&Bs in Fort William looking nicer and charging less) . Bed dirty, seemed to have other peoples hair on sheets. Shower not working. Unfriendly landlady could just about be bothered to drag herself out of bed to take our group's money and get...

Stayed here as a group of 8 before doing the 3 peaks challenge for charity. Upon arrival we were told to leave all our bags outside whilst the owner spoke to us like children about the house rules etc. (one of which is quite disturbing, none of your own bedding allowed sleeping bags, pillows etc you MUST use theirs, no...
