Hotel in perfect location right at railway station, and edge of shopping centre.could do with a wee update in places. Rooms very clean and warm. Staff very friendly and breakfast loads to choose from. Entertainment more suited to elderly people but ok. Lots of nice areas to relax in view from room right across the loch

We were in Fort William for the day and were looking for somewhere to have lunch. We looked at a few pubs and restaurants, but nothing really appealed. We were passing the Alexandra Hotel and thought we would give it a try. The food was really good and affordable the service was really good. The restaurant was not busy but...

Went with group on coach... The hotel is lovely from the outside and the first impression is very nice in the main part of the hotel. Our twin bedded room was extremely comfortable and had everything you needed but the bathroom could do with updating. Some very squeaky floorboards but expected in the hotel so old.. Some of the carpeting...

After having a nightmare experience with Shearings at the Caledonian Hotel - which is such a disgusting hovel we were unable to stay there (complaint gone in), we were left with nowhere to stay at 6pm on a Sunday night in a pretty full resort. We managed to get two rooms here for the first 2 nights of our stay,...

This hotel is very dated. The rooms definitely need an update and wifi to the rooms is needed. There was a couple arguing outside our room for a lengthy period of time making it hard to sleep. Add in that our room was hot and even opening the window on a cold night did not help, made it tougher. The...

Ooh there's something in me that would have liked to have given five stars but i just couldn't thinking of others that might follow. I have to agree with other contributors that the bedrooms were dated and in an ideal world they need a complete refurbishment. But hey, if you need a room just for one night and you're travelling...

The welcoming and friendly staff were a real plus point. The hotel itself was rather dated and in need of updating. The room was good with all the facilities that you would expect. except WiFi. Late night revellers and their loud noise outside was a bit of an issue on the Saturday night but I suppose it's the same in...

Spent two nights here and I was not impressed by the hotel or it's facilities. We came off of the West Highland Way and we were hoping to have laundry services for our grimy clothes. No services available. The carpets are well worn and the woodwork knocked up. Large buses bring in the tourists. Our room faced the water and...
