The price for this accommodation was fair. We had a private room with ensuite. The bathroom was a little shabby, with shower doors that didn't close properly. The room was dated, but otherwise comfortable. Honestly, it was what we expected for the price we paid. The important thing is that the staff was friendly and the room was clean. The...

First impression of this hostel is it might have formerly been a police station or some other similarly strict and severe-looking government facility located very centrally in town. Once you get inside this impression only gets confirmed and strengthened as internally it appears to have been designed to be nothing but a rather old-fashioned office block, with a scarcity of...

I have now stayed at Bankside 3 times. Each time it has been excellent. Clean tidy and friendly. Of course priced for a budget. All round good place, and an excellent location close to the station and the bars and restaurants.

We didn't realise this was a hostel rather than a hotel. Had a double room with ensuite which was spacious enough but looked old, curtains were poor fitting and far to thin given there is hardly any darkness this time of year. The lock for the room was broken but we were told to just keep turning it as it...

I stayed in a private room with bath: basic, but comfortable and clean, reasonably specious. (The room key was inexplicably difficult to work, but desk staff cheerfully helped out.) Day staff are very welcoming; night staff, perfunctory. An easy walk from the train station and even closer to High Street eateries and the the West Highlands Museum. Be prepared for...

We come up to Fort Bill every year for the World Cup and have stayed at the lodge for the last four years. Personally I don't think you can get a better place for the cash. It's a stones throw from the high street handy for the pubs and Tesco and bank just down the road. The rooms are basic...

Difficult to find any room at all in Fort William or in the Highlands, neither on booking sites nor locally (NO Vacancies !). So i'm happy that i stay here 2 nights after 5 nights camping wild. The room is excellent, Wifi works well, it is quiet. There is a small kitchen and the supermarket is next door.

Good, central location, although everything's pretty close in Fort William no matter where you are. The room ran a little warm and the pillow had nothing to it, but other than that it was a comfortable stay.

The lodge is located on the corner of a side street of the high street close to the station. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity there is even one next door. They offer single and double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, dormitories as well. Staff is efficiënt and friendly. Rooms are not luxurious but have a cosy...

Room was cheap and basic. Don't expect luxury but then again, why would you at under 20 quid a night. Excellent location and great place to get your head down for some rest after a hard days walking or more likely, a hard nights drinking!! Only issue I had was that the cupboards were covered in mould.
